Senate won't bring Upton fix to the floor [cool!]

Senate Democrats do not expect to vote on the ObamaCare fix the House approved on Friday with 39 Democratic votes, according to a senior Democratic aide.

The aide said there is not any pressure on the Senate Democratic leadership to bring the legislation sponsored by Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.) to the floor.

"There is a difference between constructive fixes designed to improve the law and bills that would gut it,” said the senior Democratic aide. “The Upton bill is the latter.”

Exactly. Up to now, they’ve toed the line on repeal. Any effort to tweak it instead of repeal it, however noble the intent, puts them as partial owners. I didn’t like this bill as it would have backfired on them. Let the DEMS tinker with it, muck it up even more. LET THE DEMS OWN THE WHOLE DAMN MESS!

HE can encourage all he likes. At the end of the day, the Insurance Commissioners determine if the law has been broken. IF the insurers offer the policies not approved by the states DOI, it would be them going after the insurance company.

Exactly! Not only did Roberts create a tax out of thin air, but this law is unconstitutional in that Reid gutted a bill passed in the House having to with veterans, then inserted the 2,000+ pages of Obamacare. This was a revenue bill whose content never originated in the House.

retouching the wheelchair took a few minutes....as the spokes on the wheels tended to degrade faster than America under obama when I removed the spaces between them to "plant" it on the appropriate background.

That’s exactly what I mean about the massive liability the insurance companies may incur by selling illegal insurance polices. Obama may abstain from prosecuting them, but state and federal courts aren’t bound in any way by such a decision in deciding any related matters of liability.

I agree the Upton bill was worthless and in effect gave 39 RATs cover in the 2014 election.

Regarding sending a REPEAL bill every week.... I agree with that as well. However Dingy Harry Reid won't have to say or do anything, cause he just simply lets the House REPEAL bill die in some Senate committee and he will never let these bills get out of committee. So it dies, Dingy never has to even mention the bills, Boner is too chicken to press him on it and the partisan hack media hack give all the political coverage to Harry that he needs by failing to disclose or report on the House bills bottled up in Senate committee.
