President Obama this morning announced that he would be issuing an administrative orderwhich requires no Congressional reviewdelaying the implementation of provisions of Obamacare that had led to the cancellation of a million or so insurance policies. This follows on the Administrations similar delays of the Employer Mandate and the Individual Mandate. According to CNN, this mornings delay is supposed to cover millions of people who have had their insurance policies cancelled, but the fact is that in many states, it wont even do thatbecause insurance companies, anticipating the implementation of the new law, long ago decided to cancel these policies. Surprise!except for the attentive observers who have been warning about this for years. Moreover, many statesincluding Californiawhich are already going along with Obamacare are already beyond the Administrations reach, because those insurance policies were cancelled by state agencies. This mornings delay cant do anything about that.

And what makes him think these people are going to be any happier when their policy is cancelled NEXT YEAR???
The insurance companies should have a press conference tomorrow saying how it will be impossible to do this, after years of planning, to suddenly change course for ANOTHER year...
I guess that Obama is counting on that old saying that misery loves company, either that or Obama just doesn’t care whether people hate Obamacare, as long as Democrats win the 2014 mid-terms.
Very good point.
Good point!
“So now what do all these people do when the insurance companies decide NOT to re-instate their policies for only a year????”
Blame the greeeeeeedy insurance companies.
Insurers for many plans pulled out of various states. They don’t even have a full-scale prescience any more.
I write my senators and representative so frequently and with such fervor that I probably have earned a spot near the top of DHS’s %^&$&* list, a position I proudly claim. But we that are truly attentive are vastly outnumbered by the low information voters (not sure I like the term, just ignorant will work) that those members of congress do not have to heed my advice as they will just dole out more tax money in exchange for uninformed votes totally unaware of the downstream costs.
Yep, how’s that going to work for those who had insurance with companies who’ve left? Very good fact to remember.
Eeeek. Autocorrect strikes again. Presence.
The “delay” tactic pushed by some on both sides of the aisle mainly is to allow you enough time to lube-up. This is so when they come behind you next year it won’t be so painful. Believe me...they will be coming. LIBs/DIMNs/commies are nothing if not persistent.
Uh, I, uh, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that, uh, I uh will faithfully execute the, uh, Office of President of the , uh, United States, and will to the best of my uh-bility, preserve, protect and uh defend the uh Constitution of the uh United States...Period.
They are really screwing with those people. So with the website still down, they are not able to sign them up for a new policy. What is going to happen when their old policy is cancelled, and there is no new policy, or a policy hasn’t taken effect ? Who is going to be on the hook for their medical care in the interim, if they get sick or injured ????
Talk about a lawsuit......
Pass the popcorn please.
Right and these are private business’s.He can’t tell them what to do.Also if they do decide to take people back you can be sure it will not be the high risk one’s.This was all for show today just to grab the headlines.People are still mad.
Ain't going to work this time, too many sheeple got their ass kicked by way of the wallet.
“Obamacare is the walking dead”

“Nothing will ever stick to this guy or the democrats. “
It is sticking.
“And what makes him think these people are going to be any happier when their policy is cancelled NEXT YEAR???”
They won’t be! and even if the expiration date is after the nov elections, they will remember the trauma of cancellation; they will not be fooled again about what will happen to their policies; but God Bless them if they get another year of coverage.
When people start losing loved ones because these 600 or so in DC screwed up what was previously the best healthcare in the world, they’re going to be remembering it forever and who could blame them for wanting to see a few heads roll, figuratively speaking of course - but that could depend upon how bad it gets...
