'I just shot someone': The dramatic moment man who 'gunned down innocent black woman, 19, on his porch' called police to confess
The unnamed man who gunned down 19-year-old Renisha McBride after she knocked on his door looking for help, called police soon after saying he had, 'just shot someone on his porch.' In an emergency call made moments after the tragic incident, he said he thought he had shot someone and then hung up. The police dispatcher then re-established contact with him and he told her he didn't know who the victim was. Minutes after that an officer arrived at the scene of the killing and said: 'There's somebody down on the porch ... it appears it's going to be a black female.' The Detroit News got hold of the audio footage from the early hours of November 2, when tragic Ms McBride was gunned down in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
Ms McBride who is black - apparently knocked on the door in the predominantly white neighborhood, looking for help after crashing her car a few blocks away. The audio obtained through Broadcastify provides a glimpse into the events of that morning. At 4.46am the female dispatcher says: 'Just received a 911 call from a male (who) thinks he just shot someone on his porch. Then he hung up; we're trying to call back
About a minute later, the dispatcher radioed: 'Units responding: We have the male on the line. (He) states he doesnt know this person. Trying to get further (information).' A responding officer told the dispatcher: 'There's somebody down on the porch ... it appears it's going to be a black female.'

Don’t talk to the police

Is it me or has this story changed a lot since the first reports?
You have got to be careful before you use lethal force.
I don’t know all the particulars here, but I don’t want to see innocent Blacks gunned down anymore than I want to see an innocent White gunned down.
If she was just looking for help... this guy should be in a lot of trouble.

This is statement he made to police:This man’s claiming he believed the girl was breaking into the home. And he’s also saying the gun discharged accidentally,’ Now he cannot have it both ways
I’m hoping for a just outcome here.
The young lady had an accident, running into a parked car. She left the scene, came back and left again. She was reportedly bleeding.
Two hours later and 6 blocks away, she was shot dead.
It is in the city of Detroit.
Not you.
He actually could say he thought she was trying to break into the house, but his gun went off accidentally.
It’s possible to be contemplating taking an action, and accidentally carry out that action unintentionally by accident, before you consciously signed off on it.
Good. I was getting worried my dementia and senility was acting up again. :p
i agree i don’t want innocent people of any color being shot.
that said we need more info about what went on. it is not good to change stories, which i why you don’t make a statement right after it happens.
it’s why they put cops on leave for a few days before they even write down what happened. the mind at the time of going thru such an incident may remember things out of order. they know’this. which pisses me’off b/c they know this and yet try to get people to talk immediately afterwards, and then they remember things better a few days later and it appears like their story changed. when it hasn’t they just remembered things the correct way.
Guy walked outside with a shotgun and shot her in the face.
Hang him.
” he believed the girl was breaking into the home. And hes also saying the gun discharged accidentally, Now he cannot have it both ways”
Sure you could. You could think someone was breaking into your home, arm yourself and go investigate. And as you did so, you could have an accidental discharge killing the person who had you fightened in the first place. In fact, at 4am, scared of an intruder, poorly trained, not normally in that situation in your day to day life,,,, it could very easily happen that you shot them unintentionally.
Did he walk outside?
I don’t think he crawled...
I agree with your comments.
What do you mean crawled? Did he open the door or was she shot through an opening?
Autopsy says she was not shot at close range.
I’d like to get the whole story and find there are a limited number of facts out there.

Just seems to be an odd story.
