Lately not a day seems to pass without some tragic mass shooting. The latest comes from Pittsburgh, where Channel 11 News reports that three people were shot Wednesday afternoon outside Brashear High School.

According to emergency dispatchers, police were sent to the school on Crane Avenue just before 3 p.m. Wednesday.Channel's Rick Earle has confirmed that authorities are looking for a shooter in the woods behind the school.At this time, the extent of the victims’ injuries is unknown

Meanwhile there are reports the shooting may be related to a gang/drug incident a couple of weeks ago at a nearby house. A student involved in that incident left the school but may have returned today and been onvolved in the shooting. Police, possibly SWAT teams, are now there investgating a link.
Police spokesman (who is a woman) said the victims are not talking with the police...
Yes. Langley isn’t far from where I live. It was bad. In one incident there a young girl...pregnant IIRC...was found bludgeoned to death on the school steps.
Some of the neighborhoods near Brashear are last-bastions of hard working, blue collar folks in the city. Includes many cops and firefighters required to live in the city. They were NOT at all happy that Langley kids were being sent into their school.

Yup, lived in the area when mrs p6 and I were married. Worked there for at least ten years.
School ploice say it could have been drug related and linked to that earlier incident on Sebring St.

My bad. Word is a second suspect is surrounded on Sebring. That may not be the scene of the earlier incident.

According to Channel 11 the victims are NOT talking to police.
Also the police have a house surrounded, supposedly cause they believe the shooters are inside.

In the October incident a student at Brashear was beaten and robbed of drugs in a school bathroom. It is thought to be linked to today’s incident
