Full Title: Policy keeping girls off boys' wrestling team prevents 'undesired contact of sensual body parts,' says Line Mountain High School
WILLIAMSPORT — The prospect of co-ed wrestling presents dilemmas, such as how an adult male coach demonstrates techniques on a middle school-aged female, the Line Mountain School District claims.
That is one of the arguments the Northumberland County school district makes in urging U.S. Middle District Judge Matthew W. Brann not to make permanent the order he issued Oct. 31 that allowed a seventh-grade girl identified only as A.B. to sign up for the middle school wrestling team.
The district has a policy that prohibits boy and girls from being on the same team in a contact sport.
Due to the continual close contact involved in wrestling, the sport warrants a separation between male and females, especially when the individuals reach the age of puberty, the district states in a brief filed with the court.

Same problem in Europe, Japan, Russia, and anywhere Western culture has had a significant influence.
At the rate we are going let men all stay home and make the women go to work, compete in sports, and every other traditional role that is or was male-dominated.

See the problem you create when you make the girls into one of the guys??? Think of potential marriages that could occur and the resultant children if women weren’t being pushed to be a man.
Perhaps... with appropriate garments (jockstraps for the guys, whatever for the girls) problems would be less likely. Still. It’s a weirder and weirder time. There is probably no pat precaution. Respecting each others’ bodies and their own bodies is the keynote.
Everything is the same when you’re wrestling. You kick ass or get your ass kicked. You wouldn’t know a leftist if one kicked your ass either, GeronL.
She is unbelievably fast. And she really has studied the moves. She seems to be able to visualize which way to move, like contact chess or something.
As a wrestler, she is quite good but is very reserved in conversing with others. Almost shy.
One of those threads where the jokes just write themselves.

I am not involved in wrestling, but I have family and friends with sons who are. And they have generally expressed these concerns to me.
