Former President Bill Clinton said that President Obama should keep his pledge to allow people to keep their current health care plans, if they like them, under Obamacare:
"So I personally believe, even if it takes a change to the law, the president should honor the commitment the federal government made to those people and let them keep what they got," said Clinton in a recent interview.
Clinton has, in general, been a strong supporter of Obamacare.

Millions of cretinous and amoral Americans still admire Bill and Hillary Clinton, the two foulest amoral slimebags that have ever besmirched the White House. These two foulmouthed and lying psychopaths have been, and still are, blindly supported by masses of non-clinical morons, diehard Democrats, and whorish liberal journalists and their editors.
The Clintons habitual lies, gutter language, anti-Semitic outbursts, and anti-black slurs have been documented by reliable writers but have been and still are routinely suppressed by the so-called liberal media. This article serves to counter and expose that shameless misleading of the public about the true character of Americas two supreme actors and how they talk in private.

That is how I read it too.
Two campaign issues for Republicans:
“We have to pass this bill to find out what is in it.”
and you can keep your plan.
A good number of people are fed up with Obamacare.
Look for the knives to be more cutting and more often as 20016 comes closer.
Bubba still remembers South Carolina 2008.
I think it's a combination of distancing Hillary from Obama and setting up a "single payer" proposal from the Hillary 2016 machine. See, if we had single-payer, then all of this insurance mess - which we all know is the eeeeevil insurance companies' fault anyway - goes away, because insurance is superfluous when the nanny government already takes care of the bills.
And so it begins...
Dem. Rep.: ‘I Think the President Was Grossly Misleading to the American Public’
More than interesting.... fun to watch.
The idea above undermines the success of Obamacare exchanges to work. In *theory* people would eventually go to the exchanges to get the subsities but in practice without a large risk pool from the start the exchange insurance companies must charge high rates keeping people away, whole thing blows up.
Of course if Obama caves on this then why shouldnt we be able to buy ANY policy we want? Not just existing ones?
Sounds like Dems have some headaches,
Last week it was Jimmah Carter jumping on The O.
Now, it is BJ.
Poor Bambam. He’s having a tough time. And his approval numbers are tanking.
If this continues, I may need a tissue.
Slick likes to stir the pot.
It’s the “settled law of the land.” How can he change it? Isn’t that what they’ve been saying?
So, what HAVE we heard from the insurance companies about Obamacare’s effects? What have any CEO’s said publicly?
clunton talking about honor?
Democrats, led by Bill and Hillary, are going to try to put themselves in the position of trying to save ObamaCare. As Jesse Jackson might say, they want to mend it, not end it.
So, all these Democrats who voted for the bill, (and didn't know what was in it, obviously) are going to run as reformers of a law they put in place. Ordinarily, you might think it's an uphill battle. But with a complaint media, and so many low information voters, it's a strategy that might work. Underestimating the Democrats is like underestimating the devil himself.
Nice to see a Dem stabbing another Dem in the back...
Obviously Dems are in a much worse position now then anyone imagined they would be, with the website and the cancellations going together with Obamas past promises.
The way I would phrase what you are getting at is that even though Dems own this mess they will try to go to voters and say :
‘At least we tried to fix things with this reform and get the uninsured the health care they need.. Yes we are very frustrated with the rollout but we are trying as hard as we can to fix the bugs in this so the bill helps you. We are the only adults in the room trying to make things better. On the other side the GOP is just rooting for failure and trying to break things to make our President look bad”
For the time being the GOP should avoid bringing too much attention to themselves. Keep the spotlight on Dems.
The best thing the GOP can do at this point is to concentrate on cutting spending and reducing the size of government. Restoring freedom to the citizens should be the underlying message of every issue.
