Immigration reform's failure could cost GOP
Santa Cruz Sentinel ^ | 11/11/13 | Brana Vlasic

The House's failure to pass immigration reform could create political trouble for a growing number of Republican representatives from districts with sharply rising Latino and Asian populations.

The problem is especially apparent in California, where Latino and Asian populations in Republican districts are triple the national average. Both groups gave President Obama more than 70 percent of their votes in 2012.

-snip-

It is not clear that Republicans will schedule a vote, and Democrats are using the GOP's hesitation to bring the bill to the floor to depict them as unsympathetic to immigrants.

I doubt it will even cut through all the primal screaming that will be going on out there over Obamacare.

For crying out loud.

Unemployment is unacceptably high already.

No more immigration until America has jobs again.

Bring back American jobs.

Boehner and McConnell want to bail out ObamaCare so they can quiet things down and get back to work and pass Amnesty for their Cheap Labor benefactors.

The House's failure to pass immigration reform

I guess some people have trouble with the concept of "a different point of view." But here's an example pulled out of the air that illustrates it: If you can't get into my fortress to kill me and my countrymen, that's a failure for you, but a success for me.

Why are illegal aliens more important than American citizens? When is the federal government going to do something for the people of this country?

Guess what? The 1/3rd or so of "Hispanics" who vote GOP like perks for illegal aliens even less than we so-called native xenophobes do.

Yeah, I know it used to be more than 1/3rd. It wasn't racism or failed outreach by the GOP which reduced that percentage. It was dilution of that pool by more illegals and takers pouring in.

Democrats are really concerned about the future of the Republican party these days.

Maybe they can tell us if we should go with Chris Christie or stick with John McCain again.

So, a “newspaper” in Santa Cruz is concerned that the Republicans will be harmed next year because they aren’t going to allow the legalization of “immigrants.”

Have the newspapers in Berkeley, Havana, and Cambridge, Mass. weighed in?

I’m touched that these lefties are so concerned about the future success of the Republican party. s/

B*******! Get voter ID laws passed to keep the illegals from voting and you will be surprised how many legal immigrants who jumped through the hoops to get here could care less about illegals feelings.

If republicans don’t stop this reward for the foreign criminal invaders, they are done as a party. Our enemies are pouring across the border in record numbers. The simple fix is to penalize those that employ these criminals.

How can you do anything when the POTUS doesn't obey the law.

If a bill securing the border was passed and a bill with real penalties for using illegal immigrants was passed this POTUS would just ignore it. Of course he would enforce giving out visa's and establishing a quick path to citizenship.

The problem conservatives have is we are only a part of the GOP. The other part represents mid to big business interests. They love cheap labor. They don't care about social issues. Other than tax policy they are more Rat in their views than Pub.

I think if conservatives don't overplay their hand we can gain seats and take more control over the party. Our problem is always going to be the GOP-e. They have to be removed from leadership.

>>Immigration reform’s failure could cost GOP<<

Yea right! Only if thousands of illegal aliens are voting illegally in our elections.

60% + Americans have said....HELL NO to amnesty.

Hanged if you do and hanged if you don’t.

“Immigration Reform” is a code word for adding millions of DemonRAT votes, giving them a bullet-proof majority in national elections.

If the Pubbies allow it to pass, they are history.

If they don’t allow it to pass, the DemonRATS will use it as a club to disparage those mean old Republicans who don’t want to see families united, or to see hardworking immigrants get a path to citizenship.

Of course, the Pubbies can’t or won’t push back saying that “families united” is a violation of our sovereign borders and that “path to citizenship” means millions more DemonRAT voters.

So, in this case, do the right thing.

Oppose “Immigration Reform” with all you’ve got and let the chips fall where they may.

Better to have lost on principle than to have lost by pandering.

Do the illegals vote?

How could it cost the GOP?

What, millions of Mexicans in Mexico will rise up in righteous anger and demand that their will be done?

They can jump up and down all they want. It’s a giant con game: get the Republican idiots to vote for their own demise.

Boner and his idiots can either stand firm or simply disappear in a sea of enemy invaders.
