COLUMBIA U.S. Army veteran and Orangeburg attorney Bill Connor announced his candidacy for U.S. Senate Monday at a Myrtle Beach Tea Party meeting.Connor joins Spartanburg state Sen. Lee Bright, Easley businessman Richard Cash and Charleston PR executive Nancy Mace as the fourth candidate challenging U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham in the June GOP primary. The only one of Grahams challengers to run a statewide race, Connor ran for lieutenant governor in 2010 and lost in a runoff.A Monday news release on Connors newly launched website said that Unlike some, Bill Connor wears the label of Tea Party Republican proudly. In a video posted on Connors website and timed with his announcement, Connor says, A small federal government our founders intended was for citizen legislators, people who would take time away from their families and businesses for a few years, do whats right for our countrys future, then come home and live under the laws they pass. After nearly two decades in Washington Lindsey Grahams values and votes look more like they came more from a congressional conference table, Connor says in the video, accusing Graham of supporting conservative causes near election time.

We’ll see, but Scott hasn’t yet been elected to the Senate; he is an appointee. Many in SC don’t even know how Lindsey betrays us ad nauseum. And probably ALL have heard his name! For so many of the uninformed, the ones Rush calls “low-information” voters, name ID is all that counts.
The more the merrier from Graham’s perspective.
People in every state can fit into Rush’s mantra of “low-information voters”.
Stomp that effeminate man in the dirt. NO FR^CKEN AMNESTY You POC. Get his girly ass out of there. He knows he is in deep sh^t.
More opposition helps Graham. He is already pretty assured to be the top vote getter in the primary, but probably not 50%. He can sit on most of his money and watch his challengers go at it, spending what little money they have for the campaign. If there is a run-off, he will have about 50 times the cash as his opponent, allowing him to dominate the TV and radio.
Another possibility is the opponents beat up on each other to a point they look weak, Graham pumps in big money the last two weeks before the primary Election Day and captures more than 50% of the vote.
Either way, with a large field, I see no way Graham is defeated next year by a republican.
What’s with the silly haircut and facial hair on Gowdy? He needs to see a hair stylist because what he does now looks positively ridiculous.
Dewhurst had a lot more money than Cruz, plus GOP-E support. Dewhurst was the top vote getter in the primary but didn't get 50%. When it came down to the run-off, money flowed to Cruz. Then Cruz beat him like a red-headed step child over conservative issues.

SC Republicans should unite behind the most electable candidate....Lindsey Graham.
/GOPe
Maybe we need a “Tea Party Challenger Run Off” before the actual primary....
I would love it if Graham didn’t make it to the run-off.
/johnny
If that happened he would either switch to Dem or independent and probably give the seat to a Dimocrat..
You can’t just have one primary challenger in that state. There is going to be someone with good policies who the people wont get behind.
So many Republicans line up to attack Lindsey Graham there must be a good reason.
Yep. Some states have it, some don't. I think KY is also winner takes all with a plurality.
Which is why Bevin going up against him alone is good.
Runoff elections are good at getting rid of incumbents.

Lindsey votes for liberal judges, claims to do it out of principal, meaning elections have consequences
I would ask him if he will be voting along same principals if sent back, or will he vote for the unborn Children and Christian values this time?
Throw the bum out
That's cool--and I believe rare. I like it!
I would opt for Connor!
