Happy to see there is the 50% runoff rule. A 4 way Republican senate primary in Wisconsin in 2012, with no such rule, gave away a winnable senate seat. I believe that happened in Missouri as well.

Yep. Some states have it, some don't. I think KY is also winner takes all with a plurality.
Which is why Bevin going up against him alone is good.
Runoff elections are good at getting rid of incumbents.
