This was embarrassing– Sarah Palin ate Matt Lauer’s lunch on “The Today Show” this morning. Lauer tried over and over to get Sarah Palin to apologize for the Tea Party and conservative principles but instead – she threw it back in his face.“
What apology?’’ Palin said. “He kind of acknowledged a bit that there’s a broken website. The broken website is the least of America’s worries. This broken website I think is symbolic of a broken administration. Take over one-sixth of our economy and the socialized medicine that’s being crammed down our throat, that’s what’s broken.
“Where do you get this five percent?’’ she said. “It’s not five percent. It’s most Americans will not be able to keep the healthcare policy and programs that they had desired. The new programs that are being forced down our throat are unaffordable. Some of them are still being told, ‘Well if you like that insurance policy and that coverage, you still will be able to keep it, it’s just going to cost you a little bit more.’ That’s the point. If it’s going to cost you more, then it’s not the same policy.”

I was cheering with her.....and thinking 'spot on' Sarah until she said 'there is no Ronald Reagan on the scene today, no one she would put her trust in'....Apparently you didn't see Cruz on Leno...It was disappointing to say the least.
Especially one who pretends to be a conservative from a blue state.
She didn't say that, but you could tell she wanted to when she reminded Matt Christie was no Ronald Reagan.

What a great interview....for Sarah!
She is the epitome of what’s left that is good in America.
As for Matt Lauer. The only reason I watched this interview was because it was Sarah Palin being interviewed. Matt Lauer, with his sprouting beard, looks like a complete dunce.
Its good when the left hits Sarah with their shots—it gives all the chance to see the good stuff she is made of—like a testimony.

I know she’s very popular on this forum....I thought she came off weak. She used about 4 talking points over and over...when Laure pressed her on what she would do to reform healthcare all she could come up with was free market and tort reform. Very weak answer.
She was obviously referring to Christie. I don’t think Cruz even crossed her mind during that sequence. People need to stop parsing everything this woman says.

Be fair. Ted Cruz is new on the scene. He is a first-term senator, and a few months ago most of us had never heard of him. As impressive as he is, as noble as he appears to be, he is young and doesn't have the mileage yet for anyone to anoint him as the next Reagan. That's not a slap, just an acknowledgement of the facts. Give him time.

I agree with her, the free market and tort reform would go a long way to improve health care. I don’t think it needs to be “reformed”. The only people who believe that are the ones who believe they are entitled to free health care at other people’s expense.
