It took 11 years, but Judicial Watch recently received a response to a 2002 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request that revealed another major missed opportunity by the Clinton administration to prevent the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack, which is part of perhaps the most catastrophic failure in the history of U.S. intelligence.
The new document reads like a Robert Ludlum spy novel, replete with exotic locales and sinister plots. Its pages explode with intricate twists and international intrigue. The villains are palpably evil; their plans, pernicious and deadly. But the good guys seemed largely oblivious to their machinations.
The chilling details come from the Defense Intelligence Agency, which finally handed over an intelligence information report titled Letters Detailing Osama bin Laden and Terrorists Plans to Hijack an Aircraft Flying Out of Frankfurt, Germany, in 2000. The report is dated Sept. 27, 2001.

Was Sandy Berger ever punished for stealing records from the archives????
Yeah, but NSA knows what kind of Tea we drink.
IRS is cced.
Very interesting. But even more interesting; was this information relayed to the Bush team once the Florida imbroglio was resolved? If not......
LOL! No way. Just like Scooter Libby was pardoned for something he didn’t do to begin with even though “dick” armitage fessed up. (at least I think it was dick) BTW. I saw a novel written by mz. plame at Sams club the other day. A book about espionage. I think her hubby joe wilson did the immaculate research for it. Besides, “What difference at this point does it make?”
No he was not. And I don’t even think he was charged with the felony he should have been tried and convicted of committing.
If a 21 year old Marine Lance Corporal accidentally takes a single classified document out of a secure area to his home in a folder, he can go to the brig.
But Sandy Berger rifled through and stole one-of-a-kind documents and got away scott-free
‘What difference does it make now?’
Funny that this should come up now. I just spoke to someone with strong ties to the Israelian government who told that they had picked up radio chatter about plans for an attack against the U.S. using planes some time before it happened. I think he said months before it happened and that he knew the person who picked up the chatter peronally. They were monitoing radio transmissions of suspected terrorist groups at the time.
IIRC, Libby had his sentence commuted, but he was not pardoned. Here was one case where a pardon would have been appropriate, but, sadly, it was not forthcoming from Bush.
They vet the enemy and he is us.
The SPLC and the FBI (plus the Anti-Defamation League, ADL) all teamed to assess the Y2K threat from those wasscally Christians. The three produced the FBIs Project Megiddo report that was distributed to the nation's law enforcement agencies warning them to be ready for Christians to come pouring out of churches blasting away with everything they had.
All the while the Clinton/Reno pukes were letting the Islamists (political Islam, jihad and sharia law advocates) continue their flying lessons.
What the h... is wrong with Dem presidents?
Oh yea, they are lazy, narcissistic socialists. Must be that...
Jamie Gorelick.
It also gettng lost because their web page sucks and is completely useless.
Probably knew ahead of time of the attacks on the Cole and Flight 800.
So the democrats sat on the information because they love jihadis, and so that Bush would get the problem and the blame.
Sandy Berger was never punished. There are two sets of laws. One for normal people, and another for powerful democrats.
And Sandy Burglar’s socks have the evidence to prove it!
