A new edition of the left-leaning magazine The New Republic imagines Hillary Clinton's political "nightmare" as a crowd of people holding up Elizabeth Warren masks.
The Image, an homage to the original promotional poster for the film "Being John Malkovich," will run with the tagline, "A Democratic Party that realizes its soul lies with Elizabeth Warren instead."
Clinton, who is weighing a bid for president in 2016, is widely viewed among Democrats as the party's logical nominee should she run. Unlike in 2008, when then-Sen. Barack Obama was making overtures about a serious bid for the presidency, no apparent Democratic challengers to Clinton have yet emerged.
And, while some progressive Democrats have pointed to Warren as a potential alternative to Clinton, the senator from Massachusetts has denied any interest in running for president. When asked recently whether she would consider it, she answered in the negative, and she was among the signatories on a letter sent to Clinton in February from the Senate's Democratic women, urging her to run for president in 2016.
Hillary is what in her upper 70s now?
She is 67.
Correction-she is 66, born in 1947.

I [Orin Hatch] was very interested that he had Susana Martinez there in the last days to campaign with him, Hatch told reporters on Capitol Hill Wednesday. Because that would make a great ticket.
Martinez was in New Jersey on the final day before the election to stump for Christie at a slew of stops in the Garden State. Hatch, who has also campaigned with Martinez, called the nations first female Hispanic governor really outstanding with a very attractive personality. ----- Presidential election 2016: Orrin Hatch dreams of Chris Christie-Susana Martinez ticket
Elizabet Warren the Indian?
You gotta love that ‘Despot pose’, or ‘Tyrants stance’. You know, Chin up, eyes glancing upwards and that snobbish nose pose. Just like the ones put out by Hitler, Stalin, and countless other despot fascists.
Elizabeth Warren run for President? Buahahahahahahah, even she can’t be dumb enough to believe she has a chance.
I will support her in this endeavor, and I want to encourage others on FR to support her candidacy too.
“Elizabet Warren the Indian?”
I think Warren can get elected by liberal nutcases, but are there enough of them in the entire country? I think she’s a regional phenomenon, like Nancy Pelosi. (Somebody said that Pelosi’s politics don’t reflect those of the country, but they do reflect those of her district. I believe that’s the case with Warren too.)
Note to HC: get a scarf or a burka from Huma and give us a break.
I believe the world has lost its passion for Baby Boomer leaders who would be better suited for organizing bingo parties at skilled nursing facilities rather than leading political parties and nations to ruin.
Time has not been a particularly good bedfellow for our haggard stateswoman.
I think the Dem base will be tired of the same old faces (pardon the pun) by the time 2016 rolls around. They’ll be reeling from the horrible economy worsened by ObamaCare, and the Dem powerbrokers will need a fresh-faced liar to do their bidding (as Obama was in 2008). They’ll trot out their next puppet as a “new kind of Dem”; if they stay with the same failed team I don’t see them winning.
There would a certain schadenfreude and general humor in seeing Hillary! once again challenged and subsequently defeated from the left in a Democratic primary. Obama ran to her left of her in 2008, and Warren would do the same in 2016.
The scary thought of course, would be the possibility that Warren could get elected in 2016.*** In saner times, someone that radical would be pulling numbers like Barry Commoner. But, Kerry was narrowly defeated in 2004, and Obama has won twice since then, so....
.
***The idea of Hillary! as Prez doesn’t thrill me either, of course.
Someone remind me what Hillary has actually successfully run or accomplished again? And don’t say her campaigns.
The only silver lining about a HC Presidency would be that Bill would be pulling many of the strings in the background. While I’m no fan of Bill, he is not as incompetent as Obama. Elizabeth Warren on the other hand is just a female version of Obama.
Just musing here. In the end, all the Dems suck eggs.
I predicted three months ago on this board that John Kerry would be the Dem nominee for president....and I'm sticking to it, ugh.
