The federal government this week rejected Gov. Jerry Brown's request to help pay for damage caused by the Rim Fire, leaving the state and the small Sierra communities that suffered in the blaze on the hook for potentially tens of millions of dollars.
In a letter sent to the governor Monday, the administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency said California's third largest wildfire was not severe enough to qualify as a federal disaster. As a result, Tuolumne and Mariposa counties won't get financial aid to repair roads, water systems and other damaged infrastructure.

I’m pretty sure Tuolomne and Mariposa Counties didn’t go for the ‘rat in the last several elections.
Bingo.
All that aside, why is FedGov even in the business of paying for damages in the various states? Another example of a pogrom that is (as in this case) subject to political whim and which can be used as a club, or as punishment.
Better that FedGov get out of the ‘emergency management’ and ‘reconstruction aid’ business all together. Leave those funds at the State and Local levels and let the States and Localities deal with it.
I thought they were talking about .22 ammunition.
hmmm......57 shades of red
Add that Obama and the Rats hate rural White Americans.
At least one county (denied aid) is solid Republican

So the O admin screws even their ‘friends’
Yes, bingo alright.
This guy Obama thinks the federal piggy-bank is his domain to abuse at will.
Sounds like a good idea to me. Some might ask, with equal sense, why we would want to encourage people to build in wildfire zones. Maybe there could be a one time benefit, as long as the person builds OUTSIDE of the wildfire zone next time.
This guy is such a bit player. Here he is acting like the top Don of a crime family. Can’t wait to see this guy get his comeuppance.
“Cant wait to see this guy get his comeuppance.”
The way things are going for him presently, you may not have to wait longQ
Buttfuc*ed by the Administration, again.
Love it!
This is Joplin, Missouri tornado aid request denial all over again.
look it up!
