Forget the shutdown: Job creation surged in October despite dimmed expectations from the impasse in Washington.

There were a net 204,000 new jobs created for the month, though the unemployment rate rose to 7.3 percent

The numbers easily topped economist expectations of 120,000 new nonfarm payroll jobs for the month, though it matched estimates for a slightly increase in the headline jobless rate.

And then there is this: "I find this bizarre," Moody's economist Mark Zandi told CNBC. "I wouldn't be surprised if this gets revised to some degree...down."

DUH, do ya think...?

If Obama lies outright, brazenly, knowingly, on an easily-verifiable factual point.....

.... what are the odds his agencies will fudge numbers?

He wouldn’t lie about this one. This goes completely against the narrative about how “catastrophic” the government shutdown was.

I would say about the same Odds as the chances of Rosie O'Donell getting a win vs. a Bag of Donuts.

That would account for all the new IRS and navigator jobs added to implement O-blah-blah-care.

Hiring at the Malls, part-time for temporary Christmas Retail seasonal work? Stock Boys? Cashiers? Minimum wage jobs?

Hoo-boy ! THAT’S gonna make things look GREAT until December 26th, LOL! And then we get socked in the face with our ‘New & Improved Insurance Premiums’ (if we’re so lucky to still HAVE health insurance) a mere two weeks later!

Asshats. Seriously. This administration and the COMPLICIT Enemy-Media are INSANE!

(Wake me when Sarah is President and she’s kickin’ some Commie @ss, LOL!)

People in government learn what TPTB want. No need for anything in writing. If you value your career, you fall in line and keep your mouth shut.

The numbers will be what they must be.

Why would the government shutdown have anything to do with whether jobs are created?

They probably count the government workers coming back to work as new hired.

I still want to know where the money is coming from to RE-DO the original website work. The taxpayer is essentially paying twice for the same work yet nobody seems to care. I’m not aware of anyone in congress asking about this.

But if this were to happen under a Republican administration the liberal media would be going wild about reckless waste and unauthorized spending.

"Why would the government shutdown have anything to do with whether jobs are created?"

Verbal Gymnastics by the Demotwits so as to try and blame the Republicans for the bad job numbers. Also it gets the Obamadon'twork site off the front pages for a bit.

Probably all crap jobs that pay nothing and are only seasonal and will end January 1st. Only people that live with their patents would consider them.

How many of these ‘new’ jobs were government employees going back to work from the shutdown?

204,000 for the MONTH

about 340,000 new unemployment claims EACH WEEK

The job creation is only about 1/5th of the unemployment claims.

So, is it still those California computers that are the culprits? Or are these numbers just SWAGs?

Govt employees filed for unemployment with the shutdown, then claimed they found a job when the shutdown ended.

Plus, companies have started hiring for the holidays. That number of hires doesn’t seem “outstanding” to me in any way.
