“What is so sacred about abortion that these idiots vote away any chance to save themselves from economic disaster?”
I read where many RINO’s supported the Punk because he “was a better businessman” and could “work to improve the economic situation” of Virginia. RINO’s were concerned Cuccinelli was “divisive”. Gag. Makes one just throw up.
The only bit of good news I heard about Virginia today (per Larry Sabato on Fox News about 40 minutes ago):
"The VA House of Delegates is still overwhelmingly Republican, so Terry McAuliffe is going to have a hard time getting much done..."
OMG
Thanks for that.
Still, this breaks my heart. I really like Cuccinelli personally, and for what he did in trying to stop ObamaCare. He deserved so much better.
Hope he jumps into the ring again sometime in the future...
That is good news. Sabato is no friend of Republicans, much less conservatives.
Thanks.
Any details on the McDonnell scandals? I remember when he was elected, and everyone thought he was the future of the GOP.
I have wondered how deep the GOPe’s resentment goes due to the loss of the Senate because of TEA PARTY candidates. So since we lost the Senate for them, they are gonna go hide in a corner and cry? Wouldn’t WINNING WITH TEA PARTY SUPPORT be better than sitting in a corner? No, they will just switch alliances and join up with the Democrats.
Senate bottom line. Republican Party delivered via Tea Party candidates would have meant a leadership shakeup. Couldn’t have that.
Sorry, Republican Senate majority delivered...
HA. Pressies not gonna let GOPes spike the ball. ROFLOL!!!
and THOSE are the idiots telling US a conservative cannot win
AND THE IDIOT RINOS BELIEVE THEM
and PAY THEM FOR THE “ADVICE”
Thank you for including me on that ping, nutmeg. That IS good news for us here in Virginia, no doubt about it.
Pretty good.
There’s gonna be no forgiveness for the RNC from this house. To hell with them, and their prize pig in NJ when he runs.
I am also tired of Rove. I was tired of him, Dick Morris and a few others one year ago. But I guess that he is still revered by many on our side. A few months ago I said something unkind about Rove on Twitter, and one of the people I follow who’s smarter than I am (many are) said something to the effect “When you’ve won two elections, well listen to you.” Evidently they don’t give George Bush himself any credit, just Rove.
Now about Ken Cuccinelli. I’m going to say some things some wont like, but I haven’t seen it anyplace else, so think I need to say it. I don’t think people voted against him so much because of abortion but because of sodomy laws. This stuff scares people because they think it means bedroom police. The fact that that has not happened in this country to my knowledge, even in the days when there were all kinds of sex laws, doesn’t occur to them. I looked this up and all I could find was on leftleaning news sources. But they claim that what he was doing with sodomy laws actually caused sexual predators(one,at least) to go free, even though that was the opposite of the intent. The intent was to help protect exploited minors and sexual assault victims. I read the piece several times and didnt understand it so maybe somebody who’s a lawyer can explain it to me. But you can imagine what political advertisers could do with it. People, especially gays and women, probably took one look and said “I’m not voting for the Clinton crook, but Cuccinelli scares me.” So they voted for Sarvis. Today’s electorate scares easily. Remember how many were “scared” by Sarah Palin? Men, even. And even I would be scared of DeBlasio if I lived in NY.
Even I am a little concerned over this confusing sodomy story, though if I lived in VA, I would have voted for Cuccinelli, he’s clearly superior to the other two.
Another thing I noticed about Cuccinelli—he’s a lot younger than I realized. This may only be a temporary setback for him, and he may still have a big political future. He’s only 45.
