You're welcome. I was somewhat heartened to hear those words from Sabato. Plus McAwful is term-limited to serve only four years...

Still, this breaks my heart. I really like Cuccinelli personally, and for what he did in trying to stop ObamaCare. He deserved so much better.

Hope he jumps into the ring again sometime in the future...

I am also tired of Rove. I was tired of him, Dick Morris and a few others one year ago. But I guess that he is still revered by many on our side. A few months ago I said something unkind about Rove on Twitter, and one of the people I follow who’s smarter than I am (many are) said something to the effect “When you’ve won two elections, well listen to you.” Evidently they don’t give George Bush himself any credit, just Rove.

Now about Ken Cuccinelli. I’m going to say some things some wont like, but I haven’t seen it anyplace else, so think I need to say it. I don’t think people voted against him so much because of abortion but because of sodomy laws. This stuff scares people because they think it means bedroom police. The fact that that has not happened in this country to my knowledge, even in the days when there were all kinds of sex laws, doesn’t occur to them. I looked this up and all I could find was on leftleaning news sources. But they claim that what he was doing with sodomy laws actually caused sexual predators(one,at least) to go free, even though that was the opposite of the intent. The intent was to help protect exploited minors and sexual assault victims. I read the piece several times and didnt understand it so maybe somebody who’s a lawyer can explain it to me. But you can imagine what political advertisers could do with it. People, especially gays and women, probably took one look and said “I’m not voting for the Clinton crook, but Cuccinelli scares me.” So they voted for Sarvis. Today’s electorate scares easily. Remember how many were “scared” by Sarah Palin? Men, even. And even I would be scared of DeBlasio if I lived in NY.

Even I am a little concerned over this confusing sodomy story, though if I lived in VA, I would have voted for Cuccinelli, he’s clearly superior to the other two.

Another thing I noticed about Cuccinelli—he’s a lot younger than I realized. This may only be a temporary setback for him, and he may still have a big political future. He’s only 45.
