Boyd Marcus, the chief of staff for Cantor until 2003who later teamed with another GOP operative Ray Allen to found the firm Marcus Allen, which Cantor employed until earlier this yearjoined the McAuliffe campaign after Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling, with whom Marcus campaigned, did not win the GOP nominee in Virginia. I was looking at the candidates, and I saw Terry McAuliffe as the guy who will work with everybody to get things done, Marcus told the Associated Press in August when he joined McAuliffes campaign. Cantor employed Marcus Allen until the day before Marcus left the firm to work

The GOPe is as much the enemy as is the other party & their MSM toads.
Interesting, but not really surprising.
I despise that little wimp Cantor. He looks like a northeast smarty pants liberal too.
The GOP-e strikes again. They loathe the Tea Party types and seem happy to ensure that no Tea Party candidate wins anything — ever.
Good luck in 2014 and 2016. Of course Rove is certain in his mind that Christie will attract all the Independents and the Hispanics, and I’m sure he thinks Conservatives will eventually come home rather than see President Hillary.
WRONG. Personally, I don’t care if it means a President Hillary. I will not vote for a GOP-e/Rove RINO - period.
Cantor and the others comprising this gaggle of neo-idiots are abetting the murder of America!
Piss on the GOP!
That’s why we should get out of the Republican Party. It’s in bed with the Socialists, or anyone else who will pay them. These political prostitutes give prostitutes a bad name.
We NEED a second party. I will only support Tea Party candidates from here on out.
Yep. I’m through with them. See my post #8.

Rove of the great 1st win of GWB.....
Hey Karl, I live in Fla , and besides my and wives votes , we delivered our son
and his 5 friends for GWB. All it took was a night out with wings, etc at a local restaurant.
We often tell them they were a deciding factor in the razor thin Fla win.
You had nothing to do with it, and would do us all a favor if you would take your chalkboard and disappear.
No surprise communist helping communist steal another election..
“Thats why we should get out of the Republican Party. Its in bed with the Socialists, or anyone else who will pay them. These political prostitutes give prostitutes a bad name.”
The 2010 elections exposed the Republican Party as an enabler of crony capitalism and the federal leviathan. As soon as Tea Party support gave the GOP a majority in the House, the GOP establishment joined forces with the Democrats and media to demonize the Tea Party and reject its agenda.
Since January 2011 by controlling the House the Republican Party has controlled the purse strings of government. Instead of using the power of the purse to force a responsible budgeting process on the President and Senate, it has acquiesced to continuing resolutions driven by escalating spending baselines. Every time there is a confrontation, the GOP House caves. This should not be a surprise for those who can remember when Bush II was President. The Republicans controlled the House prior to 2006. Speaker Denny Hastert and his gang went on a spending and earmark orgy without fearing a veto from the President who lost his veto pen. Essentially the Republican record since 2000 has been no better than the Democrat record when it comes to responsible budgeting and fiscal discipline.
We are now told that the only way to reign in the Democrats is to keep a Republican controlled House and elect a Republican Senate in 2014. After watching John McCain and his fellow RINO’s pull the trap door out from under Ted Cruz, why would anyone believe a Republican controlled House and Senate in 2014 would suddenly stand up to Obama, a Democrat minority in Congress, and the national media? It isn’t going to happen. The Republicans will once again run under the banner of liberty and fiscal responsibility in 2014 espousing conservative positions and quietly soliciting support from the conservative base. As soon as they are elected they’ll kick the Tea Party under the bus and go back to wheeling and dealing with the Democrats. I’ve watched this movie repeatedly since 1988.
The only way to effect real change is to ditch the Republican Party and form a new conservative party. Capture 40% of the vote split three ways and a conservative party can win.
I will not be surprised to see the establishment outlaw third parties and encourage violence against anyone preaching smaller government. Hell, we're almost there already.
Cuccinelli did remarkably well against two democrat candidates (one out in the open, the other a faux Libertarian democrat plant) and the GOPe. He closed the gap because of OCare.
Bolling is a disgrace. He should be run out of town on a rail. Lacivita should never work in Virginia again.
No more money to the GOPe. Not another damn dime.
What, they don't have a proofreader or an editor?
"Posterity! you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom! I hope you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it." - John Adams, Letter to Abigail Adams, 1777
Republicans, you are having what may be the last chance to preserve "freedom" for future generations! Moderation in the face of arrogant, determined men and women who believe that "fundamentally changing" America from its foundations in freedom into a model based on the Old World ideas from which it separated and distinguished itself--that kind of "moderation" is just cowardice disguised.
That Virginians, living in the land of the Author of the Declaration of Independence and "father" of the Constitution, would choose a political hack tied to the unprincipled agents of such "fundamental change," is shameful and illustrative of the degree of constitutional illiteracy which "progressive" education brought about.
One piece of good news, at least until additional Dem ballots are “found”; the final outstanding precinct, now all precincts reporting in Virginia on the official election website. Rep Obenshain has won by 209 votes.
I am always suspicious of the expression “get things done”. It usually does not mean managing police, fire, libraries, schools, roads and bridges, etc. It usually means passing costly and/or dangerous legislation.
- Reducing budgets and taxes is getting things done.
- Appointing constitutionalist judges is getting things done.
- Holding the line on liberties is getting things done.
I HATE THE REPUBLICAN TRAITORS~
Calling this guy Cantor’s “Ex Chief of Staff” is very misleading. In fact, this guy got on the consultant gravy train after stepping down from his official position and continued to do work for Cantor until the day before he signed on with McAuliffe. He was behind Bollings’ unsuccessful primary bid and you can be sure that he went over to McAuliffe with the blessing of both Bollings and Cantor. You can also be assured that he will be back on the GOP approved consultants list by the end of this week.
