That’s why we should get out of the Republican Party. It’s in bed with the Socialists, or anyone else who will pay them. These political prostitutes give prostitutes a bad name.
Yep. I’m through with them. See my post #8.
“Thats why we should get out of the Republican Party. Its in bed with the Socialists, or anyone else who will pay them. These political prostitutes give prostitutes a bad name.”
The 2010 elections exposed the Republican Party as an enabler of crony capitalism and the federal leviathan. As soon as Tea Party support gave the GOP a majority in the House, the GOP establishment joined forces with the Democrats and media to demonize the Tea Party and reject its agenda.
Since January 2011 by controlling the House the Republican Party has controlled the purse strings of government. Instead of using the power of the purse to force a responsible budgeting process on the President and Senate, it has acquiesced to continuing resolutions driven by escalating spending baselines. Every time there is a confrontation, the GOP House caves. This should not be a surprise for those who can remember when Bush II was President. The Republicans controlled the House prior to 2006. Speaker Denny Hastert and his gang went on a spending and earmark orgy without fearing a veto from the President who lost his veto pen. Essentially the Republican record since 2000 has been no better than the Democrat record when it comes to responsible budgeting and fiscal discipline.
We are now told that the only way to reign in the Democrats is to keep a Republican controlled House and elect a Republican Senate in 2014. After watching John McCain and his fellow RINO’s pull the trap door out from under Ted Cruz, why would anyone believe a Republican controlled House and Senate in 2014 would suddenly stand up to Obama, a Democrat minority in Congress, and the national media? It isn’t going to happen. The Republicans will once again run under the banner of liberty and fiscal responsibility in 2014 espousing conservative positions and quietly soliciting support from the conservative base. As soon as they are elected they’ll kick the Tea Party under the bus and go back to wheeling and dealing with the Democrats. I’ve watched this movie repeatedly since 1988.
The only way to effect real change is to ditch the Republican Party and form a new conservative party. Capture 40% of the vote split three ways and a conservative party can win.
