I am always suspicious of the expression “get things done”. It usually does not mean managing police, fire, libraries, schools, roads and bridges, etc. It usually means passing costly and/or dangerous legislation.

- Reducing budgets and taxes is getting things done.

- Appointing constitutionalist judges is getting things done.

- Holding the line on liberties is getting things done.

Calling this guy Cantor’s “Ex Chief of Staff” is very misleading. In fact, this guy got on the consultant gravy train after stepping down from his official position and continued to do work for Cantor until the day before he signed on with McAuliffe. He was behind Bollings’ unsuccessful primary bid and you can be sure that he went over to McAuliffe with the blessing of both Bollings and Cantor. You can also be assured that he will be back on the GOP approved consultants list by the end of this week.
