Republicans turned back several challenges by Democrats as the GOP retained a solid majority in the Virginia House of Delegates.
Democrat Jeremy McPike narrowly defeated Republican incumbent Scott Lingamfelter in unofficial returns Tuesday, but several other Republicans survived and the GOP kept 10 seats vacated by Republicans.

just goggle bolling and va gop and see all the articles stating the facts .
the Gop crony capitalist aka lobbyist wanted to run a third party crook they could control since Bolling drop his third party bid.
One way to find out would be to get a source who can nail down the number of fundraising events held by McDonnell vs Cuccinelli. I don't think it's astroturfing at all. It's actually the most plausible reason I can think of. A lot of pols don't like active fundraising, which involves essentially begging for money in person, with vague promises of political favors in the future. It's got an air of corruption about it, and some people don't have the personality for it. Straight arrows like Cuccinelli probably think of it as the moral equivalent of selling their souls in bits and pieces.
Can he, will he learn from this result and do what he didn't before, or will his ego turn him into a "what could have been" memory.
Obenshain's due for a recount, so we'll see.
Did Reagan personally fund raise or did he have surrogates do it for him? Was there an effect on him personally if he did?
Mark levin
the national gop gave rhino Crony capitalist McDonnell 9 million in 2009 and Ken only 3 million in a off year election cycle ,
Bolling told one of the largest Gop pacs to donate to Terry Mvawful ,
Bolling was the Head of the Va Gop !
Bolling controls the state house and controls the stare funds so who do you think the Pacs and business groups would support !
Ken was cut off at the knees .
Your quoting some planted story to blame the victim of this Gop elite hit !
Wake up your spreading the rhino propaganda
Good. Republican legislature can keep his nuts in a vise for four years. Let the goof stumble around and misspeak and generally behave like the Democratic criminal he is for all to see.
After he adds 400,000K to the Medicaid roles in Virginia (i.e., 400K illegals) . ...well, I suppose I could dream that it might wake some people up. Doubtful though.
I don't think donors want to see surrogates. Nobody wants to meet the character who washed out during training in "Top Gun" - everyone wants to meet Maverick or Goose. What I remember is that Reagan was a prodigious fundraiser, and he was frequently criticized for it. The nature of the matching funds system that both parties used until Obama broke away in 2008 (and both parties rejected in 2012) meant that most of Reagan's fundraising was on behalf of other candidates and GOP party organizations.
The tea party groups need to fund a hippie green party candidate in every race that has a libertarian. That’s our only hope. Fight fire with fire dammit!
“It appears from the VA legislature’s results that Cuccinelli’s loss was his alone “
BS. He was ahead with 88% of the precincts counted. The fix was in. The Democrats waited to see how many votes they needed and slammed the door shut.
Obenshain was the one the Democrats wanted to win.
We have a Democrat in the WH and Va has 3 Democrats in the executive branch. The Roanoke Times just ran out of people to criticize. The Tea Party demonization just isn’t getting traction. They hammered Cuccinelli and McDonnell relentlessly. Now there is no one to hammer.
I'm not saying that Bolling isn't a turncoat. I'm saying that Cuccinelli's job was to win regardless. And he came within shouting distance. But that and $2.50 will get you a ride on the NYC subway. Was Cuccinelli fundraising in Texas? What about other red states? Cory Booker was fundraising all over the country, and he was a lock for the US Senate race.
Way too complicated. Vote counts in wealthy Democratic areas tend to get done right quick. The reason they're slow in poor Democratic areas is because there's more coordination involved and also because affirmative action means that there are a lot more poll workers who make typical fast food workers look like models of German efficiency in comparison.
If tea party groups want to waste their money on that, good for them. But if you’re worried about a (L)ibertarian candidate getting votes from (l)ibertarians, you might want to stop treating (l)ibertarians like sh*t and take some positions where you can find agreement to attract them. Or y’all can keep shaking your fists and stomping your feet when these losses at the polls continue.
