A major Democratic Party benefactor and Obama campaign bundler helped pay for professional petition circulators responsible for getting Virginia Libertarian gubernatorial candidate Robert C. Sarvis on the ballot a move that could split conservative votes in a tight race.
Campaign finance records show the Libertarian Booster PAC has made the largest independent contribution to Sarvis campaign, helping to pay for professional petition circulators who collected signatures necessary to get Sarvis name on Tuesdays statewide ballot.
Austin, Texas, software billionaire Joe Liemandt is the Libertarian Booster PACs major benefactor. Hes also a top bundler for President Barack Obama. This revelation comes as Virginia voters head to the polls Tuesday in an election where some observers say the third-party gubernatorial candidate could be a spoiler for Republican Ken Cuccinelli.

Democrats will get what they deserve!!! WHo DIDN”T know that a DEMOCRAT was funding the Libertarian?? IDIOTS!
This information has come out kinda late...
The democrats will find a million ways to cheat. We had better learn how to effectively deal with this crap.
America is going to hell in a hand basket
I don’t see a true Christian President ever elected again
I’m not overly incensed with that... Remember the help the GOP gave to Ralph Nader? It happens on both sides.
I agree. The GOP and conservatives need to concentrate on winnable statewide and Congressional races. The White House is out of reach.
“This information has come out kinda late...”
I hope there are people standing outside each and every polling place who can hand a copy of this article out. Maybe talk radio can get it out today.
I hope Rand Paul reduced the number planning to vote lib. and this does the rest.
Just read that at The Blaze...what a surprise. Good to see it posted here...
No law against it.
Thanks for posting this about who’s funding VA *Libertarian*!!
I think I predicted this just a few days ago here on FR. Thing is—libertarians are cheap; they don’t donate, period. So the money had to be coming from Dems and RINOs...
I knew Sarvis was a plant. I just knew it.
This will be the dem strategy going forward. Fund a faux Libertarian candidate to split the conservative vote.
We MUST thoroughly investigate EVERY Libertarian candidate early in the process from here on out. Why Cuccinelli’s people didn’t look into this is beyond me.
I am praying we are not stuck with a governor McAuliffe because of this....
I haven’t checked, but does the Virginia Governor’s race have a runoff provision when a candidate doesn’t get a majority of votes?
Want to deal with the Democrat low life.....get your butt in gear, go out and vote for Ken Cuccinelli this morning, come home and get on the telephone, the internet, Twitter, the blogs, etc....and, urge and demand that all your family, friends, cohorts, kindred spitits get to the polls and vote for JC!!! NO EXCUSES!!!
There’s a case to be made that Sarvis will pull votes from McAullife. Sarvis is permissive on drugs, abortion, and gay marriage.
Social liberals who hold free-market principles might pull the lever for Sarvis.
Other liberals who recognize that McAullife is a sleaze bag might also pull that lever.
I dunno.
I subscribe to the Virginian Pilot (they endorsed all Dems) and listen to VA radio - have never heard this.
Is someone starting a thread on the Virginia Governor election....so that we all can follow unfolding events during the day like turnout, polling problems, general updates, etc.???
“The democrats will find a million ways to cheat. We had better learn how to effectively deal with this crap.”
And the opposition is split, with half of the opposition supporting Democrats and their cheating. Both sides of the opposition are more interested in fighting amongst themselves than fighting the Democrats.
So, you know what we do? Prepare to live the best life you can in a communist state.
