The Hackensack tactical team was being deployed to the mall, according to police scanner traffic.
Bump
Surprised that this took almost 45 minutes to break.
Bergern County
I was looking for another post, and decided to break it. Haven’t posted a story for quite a while so it took me a bit. Now they’re saying not sure if the shooter is still there.
not possible. NJ is a gun free utopia.
(PARAMUS - ) POLICE DEPARTMENT ON SCENE WITH A ACTIVE SHOOTER. UNKNOWN VICTIMS HIT. SUSPECT AT LARGE. MULTI POLICE DEPARTMENT ENROUTE. [NJY089]
NJ Ping
On the news looks like every police officer in Bergen county is on the scene along with SWAT, but no reports of injuries or ambulances visible? Might not be a big deal?
The amount of time it takes the networks coordinate their spin.
am assuming the cops got the perp given that the crowd just went back into tha mall itself....but as theres no commentary on the live feed its hard to tell what’s happening..or what happened
lone gunman last seen behind grassy knoll...definately not a terrorist.
It was kind of interesting to watch about 25 SWAT(?) up armored police move in. pointing the rifles at every exit and wind, then about 3 times the number of Blue shirts casually walking out while SWAT moved in. The regular officers at least responded without waiting for SWAT unlike some incidents.
I guess I don’t know the rules of what qualifies as breaking news around here even after 16 years+, it got moved to extended news. Well it will die a quick death now. I wonder if it will turn out to be much of anything beyond a “normal” shooting?
