I think a large part of it is denial about Liberalism and the fact that it simply doesn't work and part of it is the denial of God and the reality He represents. When you have spent your life strongly defending not just a political ideology but an entire way of thinking and, indeed, even living, it is quite difficult to accept the fact that you are wrong.
I would go so far as to say many on the Left are insane at present if one can define insanity as a refusal to accept reality. The question is, "is their insanity a temporary or permanent condition?"

But his argument that much of the other lies and liars around this administration - including Barack - have only been dishing out some 'bulls--t' leaves me completely cold.

Why is anyone surprised that he lied? He's been untruthful since day one and the press has let him off each time. Early on, when he started campaigning, it was revealed that the church he attended for 20 YEARS was lead by a racist, America hating minister. Needless to say, that would have immediately killed any other politician's campaign, but the chosen one said he never heard any of that and the media let him off ( I guess they figured he slept through every sermon). Lying worked so well for him that he used it over and over ...... never heard about Fast and Furious, Benghazi, NSA spying on our allies and us, the IRS fiasco , and on and on. So now after almost 6 years in office, the emperor has no clothes (that's a scary visual). Better late than never but now we have Obamacare. History will show Obama was the most unqualified candidate in history and the damage he inflicted through lies and a socialist agenda, will forever plaque this great nation for decades.

While on the stump, Obama told a multitude of lies about the ACA. A couple of particulary disturbing ones were about his mother.
"So I know what it's like to see a loved one suffer not because they're sick but because of a broken healthcare system" Obama during a 3/08 PA stump speech.
Then during the 2nd Presidential debate with McCain, he said this: "For my mother to die of cancer at the age of 53 and have to spend the last months of her life in the hospital room arguing with insurance companies because they're saying that this may be a pre-existing condition and they don't have to pay her treatment, there's something fundamentally wrong about that."
The problem here is that Obama's mother's Primary healthcare insurance covered all claims for her cancer except for the deductibles and co-pays. She then filed a claim for those additional expenses with her employer's disability insurance policy. It was this claim which was rejected, after insurance investigators determined she had a pre-existing condition. It was not her actual health insurance claims but a supplemental disability claim.

This true story was in a biography of Obama's mother and when given an opportunity to ammend his comments, a WH spokeperson replied "The president has told this story based on his recollection of events that took place more than 15 years ago."Obama cannot claim ignorance because he acted as his mother's lawyer when she went to small claims court with the disability insurance company. (for a few hundred dollars)
To use his mother's struggle with cancer, subsequnt death as a lie to the American people is indeed a dastardly act of dishonesty. Of course, as the quotes show, his lawyerly prowess allowed him to infer that it was her primary insurance company which denied her and not just a small supplemental policy. Wonder why this was never reported????

Obama claimed he didn't know of Rev Wright's racist sermons or that 2 of his relatives were living in the U.S. illegally. He also didn't know that ACORN was federally funded although he did represent/work for them.
Obama was quoted as saying "I think we understood it (the recession) was bad but WE DIDN'T KNOW how bad it was" He was also unaware that there weren't really many shovel ready jobs out there.
Obama also was unaware of the GSA scandal and that General Petraeus was under investigation. He also claims he knew nothing of "Fast and Furious" or his AG's involvement in covering it up.
Obama claimed he knew nothing about Stimulus checks being sent to prison inmates, the dead and tax cheats and the fact that the Feds released scores of criminal illegals (on 2 occasions)
Obama says he was unaware of Solyndra's misuse of his Stimulus loans & that they were in financial dire straits when they applied. He was also unaware he would change his opinion of same sex marriage.
Obama claims he did not know that female WH staff was being paid less than male counterparts.
He also says he was clueless on the depth of the NSA monitoring (Foreign and domestic)
Obama claims he was not in the loop when Ambassador Stevens alerted the security concerns at Benghazi and that it's attack was NOT caused by an online video.
Obama says he was not aware that the DOJ subpoenaed the phone records of 20 AP phone lines (used by some 100 reporters) and the thorough investigation of James Rosen, the trumped up warrant to obtain all his communications as well as the phone records of Mr. Rosen's very own parents.
Obama was obviously unaware that he announced to the entire world that he was willing to give Russia more negotiating flexibility as soon as he won re-election. Clueless to the fact that by him signing the Stimulus Package would not guarantee UE rate would stay below 8%.
Obama claims total innocence of knowing that the IRS was instructed to target the Tea Party and to illegally release very private tax information of his so-called enemies to his friends for political gain. (Although he demonized these very same "enemies" beyond the normal rhetoric)
Obama claims he did not know that his administration chose to halt the payment of Military Death Benefits to the families of the fallen during the shutdown. He was totally unaware that the website of the ACA (his signature program) was a flaming train wreck.
On top of all this, to this very day, Obama believes he is the only President in history who has promised to cut Federal Regulations and still believes that the Fort Hood shooting was NOT terrorism but simply a case of workplace violence.
All in all, the current President of the U.S. is either extremely stupid, unable to handle the absolute behemoth called the Federal Government OR a prolific liar.
