60 miles? Eau Claire?
By the way, I discovered from a friend yesterday that some business men (former military guys apparently) will start manufacturing AR-10s, AR-15s and 1911 Colts in Kansas to take advantage of the notoriety of the new law that prosecutes feds for interfering with Kansas firearms ownership rights: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3015760/posts
Looks like a good deal of gun manufacturing will move to the Midwest in the next couple of years.
LOL! Let me know if they do. Sweetest little .22 rifle I have is the Henry model H001. Hard times has seen me part with many from the quiver over the years in order to pay bills or make rent, but I’m never parting with my Henry, and I’m taking it with me when I go.
My grandson’s first Christmas gift from me will be Henry 22 youth.
Still working on Mrs Delta 21’s gift to me. I want a .357 Mare’s leg so bad i can taste it!
Sounds kinda cheesy to me
So how long will it take for Henry to move its manufacturing facilities out of New Jersey?
I think it’s going to be very soon.
Scott Walker over Krispy Kreme...great decision!!
For the “Gun Talk” Ping List...
I have a Henry “Big Boy” chambered in .357 Magnum, with a Sig Sauer CP-1 scope. Sweet.
I was surprised as to how heavy it was.
If I had $700.00 with no claims on it, I would have bought one that day. It shot .45 Long Colt rounds which is what I make for my Peacemaker.
I never learned the actual weight, but it felt heavy. I still would love to own one.
Had a Big Boy in .44 Mag that had a parts problem out of the factory but was very impressed with Henry’s customer service. They stand behind their product. Cost me nothing to fix it and ended up with extra parts to boot.
Someone who knows how needs to spread the message that the December issue of Guns and Ammo has an article on the last page by Dick Metcalf trying to explain to us rednecks and survivalists don’t really understand that the second amendment actually means arms should be regulated. and that gun owners should be trained by the state.
The word needs to get out.
“Free Samples”?What are you,A DemonRat??????????
Henry Arms to manufacture in WI (more jobs)
FReep mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
Welcome to Wisconsin, Henry Repeating...
Wisconsin is becoming a gun friendly state.
My local technical college just completed a new firing range that will be open to the public. They also have very high quality CCW courses, dirt cheap, taught by their law enforcement staff that goes beyond the state requirements with time in their simulators. Under $40 and you get one on one time in scenarios with quality instructors.
...and my local police chief went to businesses encouraging them to NOT post the “no weapons” signs in their businesses after the CCW law was passed. It makes me laugh when I pass the pacifist, fair-trade store and fail to see a “no weapons” sign in the window. I can carry my sidearm and buy elephant dung paper notepads.
Now, we need to get rid of the anachronistic 48 hour waiting period for handgun sales.
All my Henry Golden Boys fell off my boat. They were great. Sure do miss them.
