“In November, most families will see their benefits decrease due to the end of the additional benefits provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (AARA), commonly known as the stimulus package."

Can't wait for Husseincare to do the very same thing.

This posting is pretty offensive. He doesn’t really say anything of substance, besides ridiculing the SNAP program and the people on it. This guy is probably a good example of why people don’t like, or think they don’t like, conservatives. The fact is, there are a wide variety of people using the program, some more legitimately than others. Some are working, some are looking for work. Some are old. Some are disabled. And yes, some are scamming. Some retailers are conspiring with them to scam.
I’ve heard that the problem of illegals getting this and other government giveaways is actually grossly exaggerated. I don’t know. But it doesn’t serve the cause of fixing the immigration problem if we don’t have our facts straight. And it doesn’t serve any cause to call people names and perpetrate stereotypes. Is this country really so divided that we see each other in such dehumanizing terms? This is what the left does. We can do better.

When I visited Yellowstone, I saw recommendations not to feed the wildlife, along with explanations of why it is a bad idea. When they are fed, they lose the ability to forage for themselves and they become aggressive when they do not receive handouts. A wild animal that has become accustomed to handouts is far more dangerous than a wild animal that fends for itself.

It seems to me that these characteristics apply equally well to people who are conditioned to depend on handouts.

“Sooner or later, you run out of other people’s money”

Cut the fraud and abuse. Period. I certainly recognize that many people need assistance..I’ve seen in and know several who’ve lost jobs, barely making it, trying to raise families. But there’s far too many straphangers abusing the system.

The Porkulus was supposed to be the panacea for all ills, the most wonderful thing to stimulate the economy, and THE thing to fix everything. So I guess THAT was a failure, too. Way to go Barry!

Based on reported numbers, the cut is only 6% of the total to the individual.

$636 given, $36 reduction = only 5.6% reduction

Trivial except to the politicians that crowed about implementing it as stimulous
