It looks like they might need to pass amnesty. Somebody is going to have to pay for all these Medicaid types. It might as well be the illegal aliens.

I thought Barrycare did not have a severability clause. So why were they able to overturn the Medicaid mandate and let the rest of the law stand?

The Affordable Care Act initially required all states to expand Medicaid to cover everyone earning less than 138 percent of the federal poverty line (about $15,000 for an individual or $32,500 for a family of four). The Supreme Court found that policy unconstitutional in its June 2012 ruling on the health law, giving states the discretion on whether to expand.

Why are they shocked at this? Health insurance was ALREADY affordable. Obama has jacked up the prices with mandates, and given some people subsidies to get the price back down to where it used to be. Who out there is going to buy it now if they didn’t want to before?

A simple PSA advertising campaign could’ve got this many more people to sign up for health insurance without this whole stupid law. Even with the Medicaid, the article says 1/3rd of the people signing up were ALREADY eligible and didn’t actually need the new higher cap on wages to qualify.

Just like with gun control, simply enforcing the law, or simply advertising what the law already is in this case, is all you need to solve the problem. You don’t need new laws.

“Of the people walking through the door, 90 percent are on Medicaid. We’re thinking, what planet is this happening on?”

Planet Reality.

How could these people have gotten past puberty without hearing the truism, “the market for free stuff is infinite”? No one who’s actually spent some time living in the real world would have expected anything else.

The planet where Obamacare was a beyond atrocious deal to begin with for those who buy their medical care themselves, perhaps?

We’re thinking, what planet is this happening on?

It's happening in the real world, not in liberal fantasyland.

“When we first saw the numbers, everyone’s eyes kind of bugged out,” said Matt Salo, who runs the National Association of Medicaid Directors. “Of the people walking through the door, 90 percent are on Medicaid. We’re thinking, what planet is this happening on?”

A more relevant question might be, what planet are the National Association of Medicaid Directors on? Including the MENSA graduate who runs it, and still doesn't get it!.

“This early imbalance — in some places, nine out of 10 enrollees are in Medicaid — has taken some experts by surprise.”

Surprised by leeches signing up for free stuff???

Wow. These experts are way more stupid than anybody thought!

Ah, please tell me that this was not expected by the left?

Of course it was, as is most of their legislation (it’s only the Republicans and the Media that are surprised). Can’t we just all get along!

This early imbalance — in some places, nine out of 10 enrollees are in Medicaid — has taken some experts by surprise.

Just how much longer can these so called "experts" continue to be surprised by these "unexpected" events before the liberal media acknowledges that they might not be such good experts afterall?

Who would have guessed that young people who don’t want expensive insurance would opt for the least pricy option?

How in the hell can they possibly know this? Everyone knows that no data will be available until at least mid-November...I heard it during the Committee bloviations and questioning of the MediCaid chickadee.

... Obama’s health overhaul — that the law is primarily becoming an expansion of a costly entitlement program.

The rap on Medicaid is the system's so corrupt honest doctors won't accept Medicaid payments or Medicaid patients. Corrupt doctors and their government enablers milk the system for billions.

The end result will be that honest citizens FORCED into ObamaCare will discover they can't find a doctor to accept their so-called 'health insurance'.

That will be the second shoe to drop.

It will also be the beginning of the war against doctors and the medical system.
