I’ve been to many countries - the only time I saw guns drawn was the airport at Munich, Germany, and they were rifles, not handguns.

I remember flying into Heathrow once (in the 1970's) and they had tanks on the tarmac for some reason. I've seen drawn guns in Brussels and Moscow, and once in Algeria I had a gun aimed at me for taking out a camera when I was out on the tarmac (yes, I put the camera away).

Sounds like TSA scattered after the shooting started, allowing him access to the gate area.

Whoever here said the TSA guy looked dead is right. His poor family. He is dead. And his dead body was shown to the world probably before the family even knew this happened. :(. RIP.

And I have had some very nice TSA guys help me and my baby a week ago at LAX. Some are good people. I’m sad for this one.

I can;t say I've seen them drawn, just carried. In Frankfurt, it is two man teams, each with a submachinegun.

Saw lots of AR-15 rifles in the US after 9-11. National Guard, IIRC, was tasked with airport security for a few months. Made some people feel more secure.

I think he has been everywhere and stayed long enough that he knows individual streets all over the country. He can tell you what shop is on the corner. If something happens in Florida, he knows that place in detail.

Some witnesses saw shooter in screening area, other witnesses saw shooter in secure area. Sounds like multiple shooters or confused witnesses.
