I saw the new South Park episode yesterday....I liked it.

It was about government implemented computerized ‘tools’ to make our lives easier, essentially.

IntelliLink in the schools and also that product used in Canadian Healthcare....

At one point, the school counselor (here supposed to be Obama) hires a new employee to work out all the crap IntelliLink caused who looked exactly like Sebaceous....

It was pretty funny, IMO

I am just really wondering right now who pulled what ‘chit’ what favor or “I owe you big time” on hiring this bitch. I’m guessing it’s a Wookie-connection and he’s not frigging happy about it one bit.

I can still visualize the cover of Obama dressed in his muslim garb and Michelle as a black panther.

I’m surprised they’re not trying to input data using a cassette tape (anybody remember that system from the original Apple II’s)?

The Commodore Vic-20/C64 tape drive.
And playing a program tape in the stereo by accident.

Nothing funny about the way this administration is hurting American technology companies with this debacle, and the NSA spying fiasco.

This is a strange amalgam of past computers. A lot of it looks like it predates the IBM PC with ISA/MCA slots. No hint of a mouse, and the keyboard is built into the chassis, making it more like an Apple IIe or Commodore PET/CBM.

No numeric keypad. No visible wires to the monitor. So, what are those cables? One looks like thin Ethernet (also known as 10-Base-2 or just coax). So what are those other wires for? One of them could be either 25 pin RS-232 serial or maybe Centronics/Parallel. An avant garde view would suggest the IEEE-488 (seen often on Osborne luggables). The floppy diskette (most likely a 5.25”) has no write protect notch (unless it is taed over with black tape), and I thought those had a small hole near the center for calibration or something.

My guess is that this unit was aone off of the Intel based IBM semi compatibles, made by an old line company like Sperry or Harris. Or a one of a kind CPM box, like the ones made by Exxon (yes, Exxon made computers).

My favorite part is Obama on a 1980s vintage brick cell phone.

yep and I see a parallel port and and old style keyboard interface cable. Got to hand it to them, they got the computer down right. Except I thing Obamacare is ran on a Timex-Sinclair or a Vic-20

It sort of looks like there are rust stains just below the monitor, as if they dug a long disused computer out of the basement.
