Obama: The Myth of the Master Strategist
National Review ^ | November 1, 2013 | Jonah Goldberg

Posted on 11/01/2013 2:41:01 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

Often in error but never in doubt, Barack Obama could walk into the Rose Garden and step on a half-dozen rakes like Foghorn Leghorn in an old Looney Tunes cartoon, and the official line would be, “He meant to do that.”

And the amazing thing is that so many people believe it. “Mr. Obama is like a championship chess player, always several moves ahead of friend and foe alike. He’s smart, deft, elegant and subtle,” proclaimed then–New York Times columnist Bob Herbert in 2009. It’s an image of the president that his biggest fans, in and out of the press, have been terribly reluctant to relinquish —because it confirms the faith they invested in him. Nobody ever likes to admit they were suckered.

But the fiction of Obama as a man three steps ahead has taken a terrible beating if you have eyes to see it.......

For all his faults, Obama is winning. He has a variant of the Midas touch - everything he touches turns to fertilizer - and yet his creations still stand. ObamaCare is universally hated, but it looks like we get to keep it and the mandate instead of the Bill of Rights. America is now as hated in other countries as it is among Obama voters, but we kept the communist for an extra four years. We have to step up our game.

I prefer the Obama chess reference credited to Putin.

"Palying chess with obama is like playing with a pigeon. He knocks over all the pieces strutting around the board, shits all over it, and then declares victory"

Stewart Varney reported on Fox & Friends this morning:

In 6 years [2020] it is projected we will have a shortage of 90,000 doctor.

You do not (will not) know who your doctor will be or what hospital you can go to when you sign up.

It takes an unusual degree of intellectual sophistication to admire the crease in the trousers of an emperor who is wearing no clothes.

“Mr. Obama is like a championship chess player, always several moves ahead of friend and foe alike. He’s smart, deft, elegant and subtle,”

That reminds me of the following item, which was posted here not too long ago:

Vladimir Putin allegedly said off the record: "Negotiating with Obama is like playing chess with a pigeon. The pigeon knocks over all the pieces, sh!ts all over the board and then struts around like it won the game."

IMO the best that can be attributed to Zer0 is his ability to read what others have written for him in a good (aside from the whistle ) voice.
He is a puppet, a spokesman, a voice for the ones making the real decisions.

Oh, he throws out an idea now and then without any inkling as to how to achieve the results but that’s it.
His main objective..
‘From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs’

It goes to show one the power of the biased media. Compare/contrast with the Media memes of Reagan and Bush'43. President Reagan, the amiable 3rd rate actor, who fell asleep in cabinet meetings and could not control his lunatic wife. He won the Cold War simply by being there, like Chauncey Gardiner.

President Bush (43) was a manipulated marionette run by Dick Cheney and his Bush'41 cronies who should never have been elected because of that stolen election in 2000. Al Gore was obviously the brighter, smarter man throughout and has proven it by his climate science expertise since then. And don't get us started about 2004, we all know that John Kerry was elected, all of those early afternoon indicators PROVED that! Besides, Bush Lied and People Died!

The one thing that has proven he can learn SOMETHING is that he no longer tilts his head up and looks at the audience down his nose. When I saw that way back in 2007, I knew he was a 2-legged ego! Since then I have learned that is about all he is!

They stand because of the acquiescence and cowardice of the elitist sh*t-eaters in the Republican party.

Its not hard to look like a genius with the MSM writing your script.

But somehow even with that advantage Obama can't avoid looking like the commie buffoon he is.

Yeah, similar to Il Duce
I named Zer0 Il Douche.

They both ruled/rule over the same type of government..
