Scandal: The person who leaked the confidential data of a conservative group to its political foes has been identified by investigators. But he's protected by the very law he broke and an attorney general who doesn't care.
In March 2012, someone at the Internal Revenue Service released the confidential donor lists of the National Organization for Marriage (NOM), which supports traditional marriage, to its political opponent, the liberal Human Rights Campaign (HRC), a supporter of gay marriage.
At that time, Joe Solmonese, a left-wing activist and Huffington Post contributor, was the president of the HRC. Solmonese also became a 2012 Obama campaign co-chairman. Shortly thereafter, NOM's tax return and its confidential list of donors and their addresses showed up on the HRC website.
NOM Chairman John Eastman has stated that NOM knew "the tax return on HRC's website originated from within the IRS because it had been redacted to hide internal codes that are placed on documents only after they are received by the IRS."
The definition of marriage was on the ballot in five states that year: North Carolina in May; and Maine, Maryland, Minnesota and Washington in November.
Names and addresses of NOM donors, contained in a Form 990 Schedule B, which it's required by law to file with the IRS but is not public information, would be useful in a campaign of harassment and intimidation that is commonly employed by liberal groups.

..then Holder should be impeached for dereliction of duty for not prosecuting a this individual, but of course he won’t.
The most lawless administration in history
Sadly, that’s more truth than fiction.
"Would you allow the confirmation of Treasury Security nominee who is under investigation for fraud and embezzlement?", I asked them.
As you might imagine, I have not had a single response other than form letters thanking me for my comments on the ACA.
If I wrote my congress critters my last paragraph would have been:
As you might imagine, I have not had a single response other than form letters thanking me for my comments supporting the ACA.
> The most lawless administration in history
Most opaque administration ever. Also most deceptive and treasonous.
That’s good you did it and I will also take some time and do likewise, I understand fully on the return form letters and have many filed.
That’s about all we can do other than support genuine conservatives at election time because there are far too many in Congress that are not there to represent us.
The law just doesn't work for the political class and their operatives.
If forced to prosecute, they would be found innocent or guilty only of minor infraction. They are thus protected from double jeopardy during the next administration
The next administration will never prosecute because they do not want to establish a precedent where prior administrations are punished for their violations. They know that they will soon be the prior administration.
They know by now that they are free to be as corrupt as their character, morals, ethics, and values will allow.
That is why it is important to select wisely when choosing leaders.
nobama will be granting a massive number of pardons on his way out of office. He may even have the cojones to pardon himself. Doesn’t that sound like something a narcissist would do?
I agree he will probably give blanket pardons to many people. I don’t think he can pardon himself.
Why would that stop him?
Good point.
