But, as we’ve seen, one game does a fat paycheck make.
RE Fat Paycheck:
Indeed... wouldn’t it be amazing if their paychecks were tied to their wins record...
You know... “Merit”??? Bet that would light a fire under some asses, wouldn’t it.
It’s almost like DAL and NYJ like winning ever other week.
Yes.
We’ve talked about Matt Flynn, he of the 2 win resume who parlayed that into a big contract with SEA. He’s been traded/cut at least twice since signing said contract; he can’t start for such sh*tty teams like BUF or OAK.
But he got paid, based on two games.
Two places you get paid for failure:
Government bureaucracy, and professional sports.
Neither one represents the real world.
You got that right! Well said!!!
while I was watching the Redskins game, I thought I had picked SD ... so I counted it as a loss when SD lost.
Then I looked at my picks.
I need to see a shrink now. “Doc, I root for the teams I like, then when I realize I picked the other team .... I root for them. How can I root for both teams?”
Doc: “You developed a split-personality. Now that will be $300. See you next week.”
You got dat right, my cast-iron friend!
I'll have you know, hoagy, I am not 'cast-iron' as my hide is made of that futuristic metal called... Lassietanianium 419!
Hey Bender there is UK item reporting that everybody fav KGB agent Vladimir Putin going be grandpa in August
Did you hopped to Moscow after you hanging out with Duchess of Cambridge
Marcellus Wallace?
Are you calling Marcellus Wallace a *itch? Just what the decimated Bears D needed, a lousy backup QB.
First CHI win in GB since 2007 (Favre versus Brian Griese, Rex Grossman’s backup!). First win versus GB at all since 2010 in Chi. Also on Monday night. Bears are 3-0 in the last Monday night games versus the Packers. Haven’t beat them on a Sunday since 2007.
Cutler optimistic about starting next week, I heard. McCown again did well though.
7-6 for the week, Redskins on THUR
some guy name Johnson on page 1 of this thread:
he done pick CHI over GB
and
he also picked jets over Saints.
Keyshawn Johnson, former WR and now ESPN analyst.
Good for you Keyshawn. He was 8-5. None of the ESPN guys were better than 8-5 this week.
I wanted to pick the Bears, but didn’t have the balls, first time I picked against them all year, I wouldn’t have picked them even if they were healthy, not in GB. (I did pick them to beat the spread though.)
Yet, I had a good feeling, and indeed fate smiled in this quantum reality. In another reality Rodgers stayed in the game and the Packers put up 40+.
I hate dreams like that
why does Jaworski show he picks Eagles on the ESPN site ... but on our site, post #2, he picked Raiders?
Through
Week 9, I am 92-41 (puts me in 2nd place on the ESPN board)
but my luck will run out now.
“Are you calling Marcellus Wallace a *itch?”
I guess so. Or not.
Good win for CHI.
