One of the worst Series ever. Wonder what the ratings were. Running in the area of 14-15 million viewers...the rest of the population (300 million) ignored it. Outside of Boston (spit) and St. Louis, no one seemed interested.

A byproduct of there being so many levels of playoffs is that nobody but the fans in two cities are interested by the end. Everyone else is baseballed out by then. Same goes for hockey and basketball, IMO. That is what makes the super bowl and the NFL so special. Single games matter so much more.

I'm a Sox fan, and I couldn't sit through all the games. OK, part of it was nerves, but I can't remember the last time I watched non-Sox play-off games.
But I won't miss a single NFL playoff game. Not even the wildcard games.

Even for the NFL and NHL there are playoff games that do lead to the championship round.

Good, now that boring stuff won’t be on all the time. The problem with baseball is that it is boring and if you miss one game there will be a few thousand others right after it.
Now we can move on to the 20,000 hockey and basketball games that will fill the tv time.

Baseball has a 162 game season, so there should be no need for a playoff round if you keep the number of teams reasonable and the schedule equitable (NO INTERLEAGUE PLAY).

Are you kidding? I’ve never seen such consistently excellent pitching by both sides. The defensive plays alone made this a memorable series.
Sorry your team didn’t get there but sour grapes make for a poor whine.

The pitchers from both sides were throwing the ball rather hard.
It appears that on the whole, pitchers are throwing the ball faster than they used to.
Used to be a rarity to see a 95mph fastball, now it appears that multiple pitchers can go that high and I even saw some 97mph fastballs in this Series.
How is it that pitchers are able to throw the ball faster and faster?

Pretty well played series - some great defense and some blunders - Home runs and some good pitching - I wanted STL to win but Boston outplayed them. As for the RADAR GUN’s I believe there are fast ones and slow ones- I think they use the fast ones - they add a few MPH for the theater of it all. Baseball can be boring for those who never played the game I suppose the playoff and world series is exciting to many so I don't know why some people bash it, but then I don't care for Soccer.

Yep...the Sox (and several other teams) support and promote a program known as ‘It Gets Better’. Their time would be better spent rescuing teens from that lifestyle. Instead, they encourage it.
