Masked from public view, two of the U.S. military’s elite special operations commandos have been awarded medals for bravery for a mission that further undercuts the Obama administration’s original story about the Benghazi tragedy.
For months, administration officials have claimed no special operations forces were dispatched from outside Libya to Benghazi during the Sept. 11, 2012, al Qaeda terrorist attacks on the U.S. diplomatic mission and CIA annex because none was within range.
The Pentagon, under intense public criticism for not coming to the aid of besieged Americans, published an official timeline in November that carefully danced around the issue.
It said time and distance prevented any commandos outside Libya from reaching a CIA compound under attack. The timeline disclosed that a reinforcement flight 400 miles away in Tripoli contained two “DoD personnel” but did not describe who they were. Later, the official State Department report on Benghazi said they were “two U.S. military personnel” — but provided no other details. It made no mention of special operations forces.
But sources directly familiar with the attack tell The Washington Times that a unit of eight special operators — mostly Delta Force and Green Beret members — were in Tripoli the night of the attack, on a counterterrorism mission that involved capturing weapons and wanted terrorists from the streets and helping train Libyan forces.
When word of the Benghazi attack surfaced, two members of that military unit volunteered to be dispatched along with five private security contractors on a hastily arranged flight from Tripoli to rescue Americans in danger, the sources said, speaking only on the condition of anonymity because the special operations forces’ existence inside Libya was secret.

These are guys who were already in Tripoli. We have known that forces were sent from Tripoli although they were delayed at the airport upon their arrival in Benghazi. This is to take the focus off the question of WHY no crossborder orders were given...and where was obama while our people were being murdered and cya for the pentagon.

As others have said, there are missing pieces to the Benghazi massacre but everything this administration says and does is either to; a) win elections, or b) seize more central government power.
Benghazi happened 6 weeks prior to the 2012 election and Obama was running on “Bin Laden dead, GM alive”. Losing an ambassador to a terrorist attack we had advanced warnings of would undermine Obama’s claim that Al Qaida was “decimated”. The campaign feared voters would see this as weakness by the Commander in Chief so they put out the YouTube lie to deflect attention. It worked, Obama defeated Romney handily and we still have no answers on what really happened because Obama has the power to withhold information.
I think Obozo was fully aware. I think the events at Benghazi will be exposed, but at this point the stand down order is only a small piece of the crime.
Nothing around Obozo is by accident. He is a truly treacherous and evil man.

Isnt it ironic that Barry has no problem running weapons yet signs the UN small arms treaty? He must believe it doesnt apply to him, meant only to keep a thumb on The Little People. My bet is F&F et al and Benghazi are just the tip of a huge iceberg of such ‘operations’. In the end, for anyone w/ the courage to truly investigate it, it’ll be about destabilizing govts for trivial (pay back for perceived harm) and ideological purposes.
I take it you are referring to the 30-35 CIA types who were already in Benghazi helping smuggle arms first to Turkey and then Syria. Those guys. My research shows they were told to stand down.
It all makes sense if you figure in that Stevens was to be captured without incident, taken as a hostage, and then traded for the blind sheik. Zero would then "negotiate" the trade making him look like "a strong leader " for the comging 2012 election. And getting the blind sheik back for Morsi.
Of course no one figured in Woods, Doherty and Smith killing off 60 terror types. This was the monkey wrench in the op.Probably a Petraeus op as well. Seems the terror types thought they were being double crossed and just started killing us.

I think she has more power than Obama which is why she is calling the shots. On top of that, she knows too much.

Don’t you think it is kind of amazing 7 competent special ops guys had to be flown in from Tripoli? Where was security? Being a US ambassador should not be a suicide watch.
Unless that ambassador knew something he shouldn’t or was otherwise a detriment to O. Kept thinking of how David got rid of his advisory by sending him to the front line! Is there something personal about this story that we are not privy to?

My guess is that the US Military personnel that volunteered KNEW that they would be violating CIC Obama’s “Stand Down” order, and thus would be subject to US Military Courts Marshal if their identity was later revealed.
Now that the disastrous financial and organizational failure of Obamacare is the dominant Federal reality, perhaps other witnesses will have the courage to step forward and document why Obama should be Impeached for his role as CIC before, during and after the Benghazi Massacre.
Hope I live to know the truth....and to see he and Hillary are each disgraced for their part in it.
My parents wanted to know the Kennedy truth and never got to know the story...the original report was a fake and they knew that much. Now I wonder with the latest information released if we still know or can piece it together. 50 years and counting!
