Corporate Executives Join Soros-Backed 'Fly-In' Campaign to Push Amnesty
Breitbart Big Government ^ | 10-28-13 | Matthew Boyle

Several corporate executives have joined forces with prominent local lawmakers, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, and George Soros’ National Immigration Forum (NIF) to organize a campaign on Monday to target GOP lawmakers on Capitol Hill to get them to try to support amnesty.

Those executives include Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, Boeing CEO and chairman Jim McNerney, Marriott hotels chairman and CEO Bill Marriott, NewsCorp chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch, and Disney president and CEO Bob Iger.

Ballmer, McNerney, Marriott, Murdoch, and Iger, along with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, and San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro form the “Partnership for a New American Economy.” That group, along with Zuckerberg’s FWD.us and Soros’ NIF, are paying for activists to make it appear to lawmakers as though there is conservative support for comprehensive immigration reform in America. They are conducting a “fly-in” campaign, where those special interest figures will be paying to get people who support their position on immigration reform up to Capitol Hill on Monday to pressure House GOP lawmakers to support such a plan. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is also reportedly supporting the effort.

Ali Noorani, the executive director of the Soros-funded NIF, told Bloomberg News that the effort will bring in 600 activists who plan to have personal meetings with at least 80 House Republican members. Michael Bloomberg, as the Bloomberg News article highlighting the effort notes, is the majority owner and founder of Bloomberg News’ parent company, Bloomberg LP.

Noorani told his pro-amnesty partner’s publication that he will attempt to make it appear as though the conservative movement supports amnesty. “When was the last time that you saw the conservative movement calling for something? Most of the time it’s, ’Stop this,’” Noorani said. “No Republican member really wants to do this, but...

RE :”All Boehner has to do is put many of these bills on the floor and a combination of RINOs and Dems will pass it. Boehner only needs about 25 Reps to vote with the Dems

He wont though, he wont put it up without at least the ~ 120 or so he needs to get a GOP majority to pass a bill that many House Dems would also have to vote for. He never said he wouldnt pass those other 5 bills without a GOP majority(like the debt limit) , but this one he did.

Furthermore Dems are still holding out that they cant accept a bill without citizenship, which was expected by me.

Then ya got the Senate.

Still looks near impossible to me.

I’m all for going back to pre 70s immigration policies, and expecting immigrants to contribute to the economic and intellectual progress of the US, and adapt to our culture.

The Immigration Act of 1965 abolished the national origins criterion. The vast majority of immigrants now come the Third World and 87% of them are minorities as defined by the USG. From 1925-65 we took in about 300,000 legal immigrants a year. Now it is 1.2 million. In 1970 one in 21 was foreign-born in this country; today, it is one in 8, the highest it has been in 90 years; and within a decade it will be one in 7, the highest in our history.

We have close to 45 million foreign born in this country. If it were a country, it would be the 33rd largest in the world. And immigrants vote 2 to 1 Democrat. They also have a much higher rate of usage of welfare programs compared to the native born.

It isn’t forgotten by me, but we need to knock some common sense about illegal immigration into the dying minds of America before traumatizing them with the bigger truth of immigration damage.

Disagree. We need to discuss immigration, legal and illegal, and its impact on American jobs and wages. The decade ending in 2010 was the highest in our history--13.9 million legal immigrants. During that same period, we had a net loss of jobs of 400,000. There must be some correlation between our immigration policy and jobs and the economy. There is are reason why the real wages of American male workers have been declining since 1969. 25% of the adult legal immigrants lack even a high school degree. We are importing hundreds of thousands of high school dropouts annually.

The Gang of 8 bill will double the guest worker program and legal immigration will increase to 33 million over the next decade or about two and one-half times the number that came in during the decade ending in 2010, the highest in our history. It is insanity.

Which is why LaRaza should be outlawed. Instead they’re in the White House

I've thought a lot about that.

In 1970, La Raza Unida was considered a terrorist organization. Corky Gonzalez and Senora Castro were definitely on the US government watch lists.

Because of the massive crimmivasion we have been subjected to, that stigma has been worn down to the point where the federal police agencies would side with them in any dispute.

But terrorists they were and terrorists they are. Just because you're a successful subversive organization doesn't make you any less subversive.

What to do? Like you said, outlaw them. I think their activities have already made them culpable under the "organized group seeking to overthrow the lawful government" rubric.

So let's go a step further. You're a member of that organization? You lose your vote, starters. Your citizenship is up next for review. You get confronted with the possibility of conspiracy to commit rebellion.

Let's just raise the ante for the Colonistas and see how they respond.

Here's a prediction: takes one to know one. When they realize that they aren't dealing with weaklings - which is how they feel about the limp wristed "Americans" they've been knocking around for the last 40 years or so - they'll back off.

One thing about hispanic culture: they respect power, used without reservation.

Anything less, and you're a weakling to be taken down, with no regrets.

It is insanity

No other country in history has withstood the willful resettlement of this many foreigners and survived.

PS:

Everyone should read La Raza Unida's political statement.

They're quite open about their intentions.

While the media and other Leftists would like to persuade us all that it's no big deal, just a few fiesta crazed Campesinos, the reality is that (their words, not mine) "the Partido is still dedicated to struggling for the Self-Determination of the Chicano Mexicano people and the Liberation of Aztlan".

Really.

Can’t disagree. I didn’t know that about LaRaza, Gonzalez, and Castro. Not surprised though.

Those TV ads, featuring Marco Rubio, are still running in Iowa.
