Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz joins Iowa Governor Terry Branstad (R) and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) for the Iowa Republican Party Reagan Dinner.
Iowa traditionally holds the first national contest for nominating a presidential candidate and dinners like this one are seen as key tests for potential candidates. Sen. Cruz is rumored to be considering a run for President in 2016. He was elected to the Senate in November 2012.

He talked, without notes or telepromper, for about 1/2 hour. It was a stem winder of a speech. I love him. And I resent his “Republican” detrators and denigrators.

He obviously had a better hunting result than I have had. I have been hunting a cougar that has been stealing my birds. Yesterday, I got a shot but missed the darn thing. But, I dispatched 2 bobcats. ;>)
