It's called the largest single experiment in getting kids more active in Snohomish County.

The Gear Up & Go program involves handing out nearly 7,000 watch-sized electronic devices to fifth-graders at 15 school districts throughout the county. The devices will measure the activity levels of participating students throughout the school year.

--SNIP--

Students can check in on their progress at computers programmed to keep a running tab on their activity.

--SNIP--

The information gathered in the project will allow data to be collected and mapped in a number of ways.

--SNIP--

Other information will be overlaid on the maps, such as whether parks are located close to schools and if sidewalks are plentiful in surrounding neighborhoods.

"You might think it's a gimmick," Goldbaum said. "It's not. It's based on long-standing evidence that feedback can make a difference in people's behaviors.

Yep, dang right it can.

How about some "strap it to the dog's leg and go play Frisbee catch" behavior...

This is the plan for the implementation of Common Core.

They gotta get your kids hooked up so they can monitor who's thoughts are being disrespectful of der Obama.

They have to weed out the ones who will be a problem down the road.

And it all will go into the child's permanent record so that any government official, college administrator, or future employer will be able to see everything.

Thank you Bill Ayers.

I like your thinking. Or perhaps drop the device on an outbound freighter to China.

Women could reject the loathing of femininity, motherhood, family and procreation and get home and educate their kids.

WE do not have to accept that we are a declining civilization whose government is taking over the family and traditionally mother’s roles.

And men can do the same. Quit rejecting family, fatherhood while procreating, with the expectation that women will kill the baby - quit pretending birth control is none of their doing, and support and protect their families.

And quit expecting someone else to take on adults’ responsibilities.

The government works for us, not the other way around. If we quit letting this happen, out of default, we could stop all of this abuse of our children.

It’s a choice. The kids need us to make better choices, they are inheriting this country, and with millions less of them, due to contraception.

Why do you think that they are working with fifth graders?

Because the progressive educrats have figured out that the best time in which to "program" a child is between the age where a child has mastered 'reading and writing' and before puberty has kicked in. It is considered the "sweet spot" of education. It is the best time to teach a child the most important ideas.

But, what are they going to be teaching our children? That is the question.

These fifth graders are the test case. They will be able to measure how deeply their teaching has reached. They will have quantifiable data from which to "prove" that their method works.

Think Children of the Corn.

All of this is from the Pit of Hell.

"Big Brother is here."

Indeed.

On a lighter note, I used to play golf at "Tall Chief", near Carnation as I recall. I think that's in Snohomish County. Our group of...individuals, would strive to get the first tee time at oh dark thirty. You'd listen carefully to your drive off of number one...it was too dark to see anything.

tyrants of the past never had the technology to really control people like Obama and governments in the USA do now.

with the technology that there is out there now then Obama and other government democrats can control every individual’s every move , even every word that they say. that is the democrats’ goal , control , power over every person. this was a socialist coup and Obama ordered the IRS to rig the election for Obama and other democrats. the democrats control the media, schools, hollywood, academia, government agencies, the Senate , the presidency. they are on their way to achieving their socialist utopia in which they monitor and control our every move. socialism = slavery. but no other tyrants in history ever had the technology to actually implement such control and monitor of the slaves (us).

What about children 13 and older?

Parents can opt their kids out. But that means that there are lists of compliant parents an noncompliant parents. And in the school setting with all its attendant peer pressure, there are kids who participate and kids who do not. Kids who don't will undoubtedly be treated as "different."
