If youre looking for an epitaph for the republic (and these days who isnt?) try this from August 2010 and TechCrunchs delirious preview of Healthcare.gov:
We were working in a very very nimble hyper-consumer-focused way, explained Todd Park, the chief technology officer of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, all fused in this kind of maelstrom of pizza, Mountain Dew, and all-nighters . . . and, you know, idealism. That kind of led to the magic that was produced.
Wow. Think of the magic that Madison, Hamilton, and the rest of those schlubs could have produced if theyd only had pizza and Mountain Dew and been willing to pull a few all-nighters at Philadelphia in 1787.

Such an idiotic statement would be laughable, were it not related to such an attack on individual liberty and freedom for future generations!
There was what has been described as "the miracle at Philadelphia"--the event that produced the greatest amount of freedom, opportunity, creativity, productivity, wealth, and individual happiness for more people than ever was enjoyed on the face of the earth.
Then, there was the disaster in Washington--a counterfeit set of ideas based on Marxism--which began with the rise of something called "progressivism," and has resulted in the near-demise of the original "miracle." To call it "magic" insults every entertaining magician who ever brought wonder to the eyes of children and adults alike.
Where is Todd Park today?
Should have drank Sterno instead, like REAL computer professionals do!!
I think that they were under the impression that pizza and Mountain Dew CAUSES skill, teamwork, and focused dedication, not the other way around.
Yeah, yeah, I know, weve all had bathroom remodelers like that. But in this case the database had to register some 7 million long guns belonging to some two-and-a-half to three million Canadians. That works out to almost $300 per gun or somewhat higher than the original estimate for processing a firearm registration of $4.60. Of those $300 gun registrations, Canadas auditor general reported to parliament that much of the information was either duplicated or wrong in respect to basic information such as names and addresses.
Sound familiar?
Also, there was a 1-800 number, but it wasnt any use.
Sound familiar?
So it was decided that the sclerotic database needed to be improved.
Sound familiar?
Every progressive officeholder in the Country is a fraud and should be impeached. When taking the oath of office including a promise to uphold the Constitution, they lie. Free to hold the views, but not lie to protect the one thing that restrains their corrupt design-the Law of the Land.
Impeachment?
Think 1792...... heads must literally roll
Mountain Dew? No wonder.

How about the idea of government contracts that do not allow for going over-budget??
RE: Obamacare -
*One party passed a "law" that they admit they never read.
*When it went to court, they defended it saying it was a compulsory purchase authorized by the commerce clause.
* The court ignored the argument and changed it from a purchase to a tax, saying it is law.
*The liberals and their media call it "The Law of the Land".
*But, Obama has changed it to fit his needs over a dozen times, so it is really no law at all.
Now, the question is:
"When will republicans stand up and demand that this is put to an end?"
...oh
A half billion or more for a fascist website that doesn’t work is “magical”?
probably on south Pacific beach somewhere or working for the Obama administration or a media outlet but I repeat myself
Yep..a maelstrom of pizza and mountain dew..usually leads to vomit
I agree and I think Rand Paul is on to something with his amendment proposal. But because it would open the door to so many members of congress being impeached and maybe tried and jailed, they will vigorously oppose it. I expect John McCain will lead the charge with Chuck Schumer.
On the other hand, ObamaCare is a pretend law that required extra-Constitutional activities to implement. The law was passed without reading it, bribes were used to pass it, and special considerations were given to certain states who were waffling. Some religions and Unions were exempted.
The SCOTUS violated the origination concept of the creation of taxes - taxes can only originate in the House. But, in this case, it came to the SCOTUS as a mandate to purchase a product or service and SCOTUS tortuously morphed it into a tax.
Then, after the President signed it, he changed some sections, refused to enforce some sections, and delayed some sections - all in violation of the law itself, and breaking other laws and Constitutional processes. It is not even the same law Roberts ruled on, it has change so much.
It is not the Law of the Land, it is a Law of Won Man.
The nation may soon go through the puking, shakes, sweating, and convulsions of Hopium withdrawal. Lets detox the country of this dangerous Alinsky-inspired social drug. Let the healing begin before a second Civil War starts.
Where is the second fight in front of SCOTUS? If we are stuck with this law for 3 more years, there wont be a country left to save. We cant wait in hopes of a Republican President - we need to act NOW.
Barack knows that we are going to have to make sacrifices; we are going to have to change our conversation; we are going to have to change our traditions, our history.
We're going to have to move into a different place as a nation to provide the kind of future we all want desperately for our children.

Well, it was close to working. It could have worked. They tried hard. At least they didn't screw it up. Nobody saw them screw it up. You can't prove anything.
