It's definitely something to ponder.
I don’t have any thoughts about what the bible has to say. I don’t consider it at all.
As far as the orbit being a guess, no. Scientists are very aware of orbital mechanics and we have super computers to crunch the numbers. If they knew it was going to hit the Earth then I doubt they would tell us. There would be nothing we could do about it anyway. Something on that order has happened at least six times in the past, wiping out almost all life on the planet. It will happen again. As long as it doesn’t happen again for the next 300 years I think humanity will be assured survival when it does happen again or by then we will have the tech to stop it. Worrying about revelations is just as silly as worrying about the Mayan calendar ending in 2012.
Summary: we don’t know where ISON will head after it encounters the Sun, so it will hit the Earth. Scientists are avoiding a panic, but I believe the Earth will be hit.
Nice graphics by the way.
God has promised that the earth would be inhabited forever so is there something in these videos that would prove otherwise?
Anyone that actually got a C in science knows that Nibriu doesn’t exist, and ISON is just a icy ball of rock that may or may not give us a good show.
Anyone trying to ascribe some narrative beyond that is a loon on par with the 2012 idiots.
bump for later...thanks!
There is a Catholic Saint, not Malachy, that speaks of destruction that comes from a near miss comet and debris field.
Benedict canonized her and she had predictions regarding the signs of the last Pope.
“Before the Comet comes, many nations, the good excepted, will be scoured with want and famine. The great nation in the ocean that is inhabited by people of different tribes and descent by an earthquake, storm and tidal waves will be devastated. It will be divided, and in great part submerged. That nation will also have many misfortunes at sea, and lose its colonies in the east through a Tiger and a Lion.
The Comet by its tremendous pressure, will force much out of the ocean and flood many countries, causing much want and many plagues. [After the] great Comet, the great nation will be devastated by earthquakes, storms, and great waves of water, causing much want and plagues. The ocean will also flood many other countries, so that all coastal cities will live in fear, with many destroyed. All sea coast cities will be fearful and many of them will be destroyed by tidal waves, and most living creatures will be killed and even those who escape will die from a horrible disease.

Pick up debris in the asteroid belt? Ricochet around the sun? (Nice use of Loma Preita and Kobe footage)
Nibiru is not ISON, got one right.
A female “reverend” talking about end times and what the Bible says about it? Ok.
I wonder if she read the parts about female “reverends”.
The chances of it hitting earth are on the order of the chances of hitting a bumble bee with a rifle at 500,000 yards, but let’s worry about it anyway.
“It’s definitely something to ponder.”
No it isn’t. A dozen comets could strike the earth and not one of them would have anything to do with the Book of Revelation.
That ship sailed 2,000 years ago.
Stop the fear-mongering, Rev.
Check back later
Sure is. ;) There are indeed some unknown variables to consider. For example CME strikes can affect orbit along with partial breakup and geysers on the comet trusting it off course. Not to mention, can we even trust our government to give us the actual course. It seems to have changed from what was first predicted.
She talks about the trumpets. Another prophecy to consider is that of the four horsemen. Next year comet C/2013 A1 (Siding Spring) will have a close encounter with Mars. Imagine the scene: The red planet Mars (God of War), from earth, will appear to have a gigantic sword emanating from it.
Rev. 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
Also, In both 2014 and 2015 two blood moons will occur in each year. All on Hebrew high Sabbaths during the spring and fall feasts.
Interesting times. I think ISON is just the beginning... ;)
The description of the first trumpet alone destroys this speculation:
The first [trumpet] sounded, and there came hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth...Revelation 8:7
If your comet speculation is true, how did blood get onto the comet before it was thrown to earth?
Little green spacemen?
It’s baloney.
Does this mean I still have to make the payments on my Dodge Challenger?
She has no concept for Hebrew idiom.
For your amusement, the roots of the word DISASTER.
DIS — Bad, as in disgust, distaste, distemper
ASTER — Star
So DISASTER = BAD STAR, or a good word to describe a comet.
There’s a reason why the ancients saw comets as portents of big and usually bad events to come.
The debris field follows the comet and does not lead as does the tail after passing the sun. Illustration indicates that debris field leads the comet as it approaches earth’s solar orbit.
Luckily, I can separate the two, and refuse to speculate on what is, or is not, Biblical prophecy and/or science. There is too much we don’t know about both.
I’m looking forward to seeing the comet!
