House Budget Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) is writing a bill that would grant legal status to Americas at least 11 million illegal immigrants, The New York Times reports.
Republican Representatives Paul D. Ryan of Wisconsin and Mario Diaz-Balart of Florida have been working on legislation that includes a process by which immigrants here illegally could get right with the law and eventually become citizens, the Times Eric Lipton and Ashley Parker wrote on Friday in a piece about immigration reform.
While the Times reported here, and Politico reported on Friday morning, that the Speaker and other House GOP leadership figures are privately saying they do not expect a vote on immigration measures this year, publicly they say they want to hold a vote on something on the floor of the House.

Those exist. Ever been to the Village?
11 million illegals? Try 40+million illegals. 11 million is what we have in California alone.
This just proves that the GOPe has been in it from the beginning...for the single-payer *healthcare* AND amnesty to insure the system collapses, ushering in single-payer. I don't see it any other way. The pay-offs for these traitors must be beyond comprehension.
He's always been this way.
I took a lot of heat in 2012 because I railed against, as I called him, the Fraud Ryan.
Ryan is a rabid Statist who sometimes wraps himself in Conservative rhetoric. His 10yr budget ideas were an insult.
Ryan voted for No Child Left Behind, Medicare Part-D, ethanol subsidies, every bloated highway bill -- votes No true Conservative would ever cast.
Ryan is a fraud!!

...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.
Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.
Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.
Lets start that conversation by acknowledging we arent going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.
If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...
This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.
Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
[but hes not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]

Don't be fooled. Ryan is looking for any way he can, to give the illegals in this country some form of legalized presence. He's sold out to big corporations and Chamber of Commerce big wigs who need the cheap labor.
Sargent, a liberal blogger connected in Democratic Party circles, said aides to leftist lawmakers believe the House GOP leadership is faking this appearance of amnesty being dead to give them clearance to shore up supportall part of a plan to distract conservatives.
If Romney had won last year it would have.
With GOP Liberals like Ryan helping take our nation apart who needs Democrats? Add McCain, Graham, Alexander, Corker, Rubio, McConnell, and others to that list as well.
