House Budget Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) is writing a bill that would grant legal status to Americas at least 11 million illegal immigrants, The New York Times reports.
Republican Representatives Paul D. Ryan of Wisconsin and Mario Diaz-Balart of Florida have been working on legislation that includes a process by which immigrants here illegally could get right with the law and eventually become citizens, the Times Eric Lipton and Ashley Parker wrote on Friday in a piece about immigration reform.
While the Times reported here, and Politico reported on Friday morning, that the Speaker and other House GOP leadership figures are privately saying they do not expect a vote on immigration measures this year, publicly they say they want to hold a vote on something on the floor of the House.

The tool Ryan just won't quit.

For a brief moment in 2012, I actually thought Ryan was conservative.
I'm glad he didn't make it. At least Amnesty won't pass.

Ryan is intent upon ending his brief career as a bullshi—ing Republicrat politician.

I am very sorely ashamed that I bought into the thought of this RINO being a conservative also.
Where in the rulebook of conservatism or the Republican Party for that matter does is say we have to somehow appeal to hispanic voters, legal or otherwise, by giving away our sovereignty? Where?
My bottom line, no shit, litmus test is NO AMNESTY, NO CAPITULATION, ENFORCE CURRENT LAWS AGRESSIVELY. NO EXCEPTIONS FOR ANYBODY.

Ryan sure changed his spots in a hurry once he got inside the beltway.

the House GOP leadership is faking this appearance of amnesty being dead to give them clearance to shore up supportall part of a plan to distract conservatives. Sadly, the liberal blogger has at least as much credibility as the GOPe leadership.

Step 1 should be to fingerprint and DNA swam every illegal who is found, and permanently bar them from any path to citizenship. After that, we can talk about other reforms, but we already have enough criminals in our country without rewarding them for committing a crime.

Yeah, she did. And then did speaking engagements at the Log Cabin Republicans and advocated for Romney, and Chris Cristie, and Paul Ryan.
She's part of the problem.

Coulter has said a lot of things, but when it comes down to chasing between a Ryan and a Palin she will take a Ryan every time.

It sure does seem like some of these members of congress would rather represent illegal aliens and at the same time older unemployed Americans are not getting hired and yet these same members of congress are more concern with illegal aliens than with Americans enduring hardships have become, out of sight-out of mind.Jobless with no hope of decent job.Yet these same members of Congress, can only say, lets talk about how we can help the illegals out ,everything else is ticking along quite nicely.Obama has broken so many promises, like the Obamacare, instead of talking about that, they want to direct your attention away from that and on to illegal immigration.Takes the heat off Obama’s other major broken promises, with a new set of soon to be more broken promises .

They can try it but they will never get a floor vote... too many know that the base will actively go to war in 2014 and one thing these vermin love more than progressive programs is their power.

The moment Ryan tied his wagon to Romney's, I knew he had started power drinking the kool-aid. I am a Wisconsinite. I will not be supporting Ryan in his next primary, not financially and not with my vote.
