REDFORD, MI - When James Wethers heard three gunshots around 11 p.m. Monday night, he looked outside and saw a frantic pizza delivery driver and a man face down on the driveway across the street from his Michigan home.
Redford Township police say the pizza delivery driver opened fire as he was being robbed by 20-year-old Tajuan Boyd.

You the pizza man? You sell by the slice? I’ll have three pieces of lead, please.
Maybe he had Skittles. Where is Al Sharpton?
Tajuan probably won’t try THAT again.
snicker
Now with extra lead!
i got my car stolen delivering for dominoes. that was 1987. still had the 30 minute or it was free guarantee.
brilliant, absolutely brilliant
Good. One more piece of street trash exercised. One less to worry about with just a few million to go.
Fired or dead? I’ll take fired every day of the week but I would punch the mf’er that fired me right square in the face for being a corporate “yes man” ass.
I think it is a very good idea.
However, good ideas are relatively cheap.
The hard part is in the execution. Making a game of this could well be quite popular.
I would like to see one.
It really does seem a natural!
LOL
If da’ shooter be white, he gone down.
Good! Do it again!
Absolutely yes.

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas has an in-game quest to deliver pizzas from a balless little Vespa scooter. Fun game.
Notes from other articles:
The robbers saw an unoccupied home, whose family was away, and called in the delivery to that address. A witness says that she saw two unknown men in a car and one asked her what time it was, and she thought it suspicious, shortly before the robbery went down.
The only Tajuan Boyd, of about the right age, from that part of Michigan, is seen on the Internet as an unimpressive high school football player. However this is unconfirmed.

“Police have now made three arrests from alleged participants in that robbery.
“This incident comes amid calls in Detroit and surrounding suburbs to arm pizza delivery drivers. Last year, a Jets Pizza franchise in Dearborn announced it would no longer deliver to Detroit after dark following the shooting of a 19-year-old delivery driver.
“In August, a young Flint man convicted in the fatal shooting of a pizza delivery man was sentenced to life in prison without parole.”
I delivered in a college town when I was younger. Only had one incident where a few frat-boys made some comments about how they felt they were "owed" the pizza. Being in NY, there was no gun involved, but a large physical presence (and flip blade, not drawn) was enough to back them down when they realized there would be a hefty price to pay for free pizza. I wouldn't want the job now unless CC was allowed...
