Hillary did WHAT???
It’s not sexist.
They don’t want male employees giggling, squirming and showing cleavage while speaking in public either.
There is an endearing Yiddish version of the inflection.
The one to which this refers is certainly not Yiddish, which would not influence this group, it is the Valley Girl variety, I am sure, which, by media and pop culture, would influence this group.
And remember:
It’s “SANDWICH”, not “SANGWICH”.
and it’s “ASK ME” not “AXE ME”.

I will never get it. Before kids, to get life experience and build a nest egg, no problem.
Got to stay home with mine. It is THE best lifestyle.
[F]emale associates are very upset by not only the elementary nature of the tips themselves, but the suggestion that these would only apply to women. We have never been a very female friendly firm, but this is beyond the pale,
Men don’t wear skirts that others can look up and be distracted, nor do they have “cleavage” to show. IF there are things that men do that “sexually” distracts, then they could be counseled on this...and should be.
I will grant these ladies one thing....the destruction of the English language is not confined to women. Men (young ones especially) are notoriuos for using “dude” in formal talk....a pet peave of mine.
It’s not ‘samwich’?
I imagine the company has a dress code—and that is where a ‘no cleavage’ policy should be offered.
Samitch is the correct pronunciation
The W is silent
The strange thing about Fox is that the hot young babes tend to be very sharp.
The saggy, older gentlemen—not so much.
Otherwise, the things in the memo are things the ladies should have already learned in speech class, or in forensic debates. It shouldn't be necessary for management to tell some ladies how to comport themselves or give a speech, but obviously, I'm wrong.
In England they have lawyers called Barristers
In America we have female lawyers called Breastisters
Going on third college degree, have two divergent trades in which I have successfully practiced. Have done extensive work in the community, stay in shape, keep up w current events, (and dress fashionably and modestly, and strive for good use of the language), and I maintain that the 20 to 30 years out of a precious life taken to raise kids and take care of hub are so enjoyable and ultimately rewarding that I cannot understand why more women don’t care about this. It is a mystery.
Drugs? BCPs?
“News”? What news?...”
You point is well made. Is this a “newsperson” or someone in “adult” entertainment appearing on a program.
FOX may be more conservative (or balanced) than MSNBC or CNN, but they seem to be worse of putting “jiggle” or “cheesecake” and other overt female sexuality in places is doesn’t belong. When a person is watching “news” they should not be subjected to this stuff....it properly belongs in other venues and labeled as “entertainment” (actually “adult entertainment” - yes I know I am being prudish). It certainly should not be in any “real” attempt at news.
I agree with you. But I suspect there are a few things the male employees do that might have warranted some comment as well.
High Rising Terminal (HRT) AKA uptalk, upspeak or High Rising Intonation.
In some places it’s known as Australian Questioning Intonation.
It may be infectious.
Hey man, I take exception to your remarks, bro.
