CNN's Carol Costello admitted on Wednesday that President Obama's staff "can be quite nasty" to deal with. Given Costello's propensity to be a bleeding-heart liberal, her admission is all the more striking.

"I felt it first hand when I was, you know, reporting on the presidential race," Costello noted. "I mean President Obama's people can be quite nasty. They don't like you to say anything bad about their boss, and they're not afraid to use whatever means they have at hand to stop you from doing that, including threatening your job..."

A polite Obamacare hotline operator who answered conservative radio host Sean Hannity’s questions during an on-air interview lost her job the following day.

“They fired me from my job,” Earline Davis told Hannity Thursday, saying she had been escorted to Human Resources when she arrived at work Tuesday, the day after Hannity’s show.

“The lady that was sitting behind the desk, I guess called up another head lady, and they had her on speakerphone on her cellphone, so the lady was talking, and I couldn’t really understand what she was saying because she had me on speakerphone,” Davis said. “I remember her saying, ‘We can’t have this type of stuff going on here, so we have to release you.’”

Feeling badly that he had something to do with the Florida mother of two losing her job, Hannity said he would give her $26,000, tax-free – the amount of her annual salary — and help her find another job.

Hey, those agents were very measured in their actions and it could have been much worse. She really could reasonably have been shot trying to escape in her night gown, but the Agents magnanimously held their fire.
