My County Sheriff is. and I think several of the Deputies are.

Less sure about the Townies. I think a few probably are.

The MSM is even too corrupt to sound the alarms

Or too afraid...of it happening to them.

You probably do not have to worry about the Sheriff and his folks, then - it sounds like they understand their duties and the limitations of their powers.

Will any of her fellow journalists even report this? Probably not.

Oh, I don’t really WORRY much. What will be will be.

But the Feds have used funding blackmail to try to get their way recently with The Sheriff’s department. But they don’t pass out much to that department anyway, so it wasn’t big enough blackmail to make a difference. Hope that situation continues. Heck, I’d rather (and have) donate money / equipment for their needs, than have them beholdin’ to the Feds.

Meanwhile citizens in California sign a petition to support the "Police State" in California, with words such as "Nazi style" and "Orwellian" describing what they are signing for. (Thank goodness it's just a joke, but can you believe these people? And probably most of them are voters!)

What government schools hath wrought....

This is where we are. The Chicago mob, descendants of the Capone mob, is running the White House and the Justice Department.
Congratulations, America.

"....the limitations of their powers.

I keep reminding our Sheriff that he is THE ULTIMATE law enforcement authority in the county, and need not bow to Federal or State authority.
I've passed out dozens of Richard Mack's books and keep a few in my vehicles to give out when I have any interaction with the po-lice.

Anyone’s sensitive data should be in multiple locations, encrypted. Use small memory devices e.g. SD cards.

There was a guy in Alaska that made friends with the bears. And one day they ate him. Even nature tells you don’t trust the bears.

Great book and a very good idea. I have opened a few eyes with the list of feds allowed to carry concealed weapons anywhere - even on airplanes.

One very progressive acquaintance had to see his therapist (not kidding) after reading the list. He moved to Belize.

IF the search warrant was for firearms, how could the seize documents?

I read the article attached to an earlier post. They said they were there to look for guns because her husband wasn't allowed to have them, but the warrant didn't specify what they were looking for. Once there, they asked her if she was the reporter who wrote negative things about the Administration. Maybe she shouldn't have let them in until they returned with a warrans specifying what they were looking for, but that's a tough decision to make when a warrant and heavily armed police are right in your face.

At the very least she could have coded the names of sources-—— X 34 instead of John Smith for instance.

Is there evidence that she did not do so? (Admittedly, I did not go to the link to read the whole piece.)
