Ted Cruz is unbowed.
The Texas Senator, speaking at The American Spectators annual Washington gala Wednesday evening, was nothing if not resolute in his attacks on the disaster that has become Obamacare.
Should we have fought this fight? he asked, his resounding yes coming by way of citing the differences between the way the disaster of Obamacare is perceived in Washington and out in the country. If you get out of Washington theres no ambiguity on the question, Cruz said.
This thing isnt working. It is a disaster and a disaster that is hurting people right now . On the merits Obamacare isnt working.
Cruz came out swinging against his GOP Establishment critics in the Senate and elsewhere, and was fearless in taking on his critics. Saying among things that when his opponents in the GOP said their disagreement with him was on tactics and he asked for their tactics the response that came back was the sound of crickets chirping.

You have to wonder what the hundreds of thousand, maybe even millions of people that had their insurance canceled, are thinking and feeling. Where do they go as of 1/1/2014 they will have no coverage, physician uncertainty etc. They are not only Dems; but Repubs and Indies.
This must all be very frightening for the republican’ts.
Note that the “Surrender Caucus”, McCain, King, Cornyn, and Graham, has suddenly turned silent on Cruz. Cruz will come out the big winner on this, and there will be wailing an gnashing of teeth in The Establishment.
America has the chance to come out the winner.
I’ll settle right now for many more who won’t criticize him. They just whine - the ‘conservative’ pundits and they find other ‘experts’ to whine.
And what they’re saying is what Diane Feinstein said to him in committee. ‘This is Washington young man. That is not the way we do things here’
The republicans do this but then they don’t tell him their winning strategy
Are they trying to tell him that there is none, they enjoy losing? That’s not what they are getting paid to do
All he wanted to do was to stop this train wreck for one year, which is something that obama and crew will wish that they had accepted and then they could have blamed all of this mess on Cruz.
obama is such a turd that he didn't want his enemy {that's us folks} to win any points and so is the guy that would cut off his nose to spite his face {in his case it's ears}.
Every time any of you guys have a discussion with a lib “friend” or acquaintance or whatever on facebook, or wherever else, and they disparage Cruz and call him stupid, evil, or whatever, you tell them...
You are a racist, you only don’t like Ted Cruz because he is Hispanic, and it just kills you to think a Hispanic can wield any power in this country.
That should be the ONLY response to ANY criticism.
Someone should forward this to the good Doc Krauthammer who continually insists Cruz accomplished zilch.
(doesn’t matter if the elitist is left or right, they all get butt-hurt and jealous so easily)
Concur.. and I hope Washington doesn’t wear him down like it has Rubio.
One option is Christian healthcare co-ops. No messing with the nonsense of the exchanges, and no tax/penalty. Much less expensive, too.
This may be the “bright side” of this whole debacle.
More Christians actually putting their faith in God and their brothers in Christ,
and less in their employer and insurance provider.
Guilty as charged, here.
Thanks to socialized medicine.
Thank You Commies
When faced with persistant resistance, they’ll resort to violence. They were so close they could taste it.
Man, this guy has some BALLS. How could you not want to vote for him as President? I don’t think the guy is grandstanding for attention after hearing about his upbringing. He may be one of the onlybpoliticians to have integrity and The People’s best interests at heart in quite some time
“......In a Washington Post column a year ago, Dana Milbank noted Cruzs schooling and concluded that his Tea Party politics must be a put-on, that he is, underneath it all, an intellectually curious, liberal-arts conservative. Note the insulting assumption that an interest in books and ideas immunizes someone from a certain kind of conservative politics.
One of the lefts deepest prejudices is that its opponents are stupid, and Cruz tramples on it. At hearings, Cruz has the prosecutorial instincts of a Harvard-trained lawyer. Watching Attorney General Eric Holder try to fend off Cruzs questioning on the administrations drone policy a few months ago was like seeing a mouse cornered by a very large cat........”
