University students in America have been told not to wear "offensive" halloween costumes including cowboys, indians and anything involving a sombrero.
Students at the University of Colorado Boulder have also been told to avoid "white trash" costumes and anything that portrays a particular culture as "over-sexualised" - which the university says includes dressing up as a geisha or a "squaw" (indigenous woman).
They are also asked not to host parties with offensive themes including those with ghetto or "hillbilly" themes or those associated with "crime or sex work."

Puppy dog costumes were not affected

I don’t think there is enough rope and lamp posts in the country to eliminate this plague.

OK with me. Halloween parties for grownups are ridiculous anyway.
And there are NO Halloween decorations Chez Tell. I used to carve a pumpkin every year, but to hell with it. I am happy to be the Scrooge of Halloween.

You know the world’s gone crazy when it takes more time to study the rules for college Halloween costumes than to master differential equations.

Good Lord this is getting ridiculous. The whole point of Halloween as a college student is to have the most outrageous, tasteless and offensive cotume you can think of. And then get really drunk. We hosted two Halloween parties and they were two of the most memorable parties in my life. Well, what I remeber of them anyway.

I have a sneaking suspicion that there will be a fair number of students who will now..post pronouncement....... opt for the now famous Obama Rodeo Clown Costume.
Obama as Infantile Mosselim Yutz costume will also likely be quite popular..as well as the Obama Mr Wizard Costume

So much for my dress like a Congresscritter party.
If I were one of the students I would just hold my party off campus and tell the elitists to go pound sand, or themselves and but out of my life.
