It has become clear after the government shutdown that if Obamacare isnt destroyed now, it will be with us forever. Waiting until after a series of elections to try to kill it is a fools errand. There will never be more support for ending Obamacare than there will be in the next few months. Once the dependency class hooks up their Obamacare IV, its game over.
Lets inventory how Texas Senator Ted Cruz won territory in the government shutdown fight.
First, the Left knows victories are won through the fight. This is the core of the new Alinskyite model of the Left continuous agitation, continuous fundraising, continuous energy. The fight builds support and support builds the fight.
The Cruz-led fight over the last few weeks has done the same thing for conservatives. Cruz strengthened the fight against Obamacare because he exposed the insider D.C. establishment in a way nobody else has. True, polls show that Americans have a lower opinion of the Republican Party after the fight. But many of those with a lower opinion are regular conservative Americans who saw the establishment members of the GOP turn and bolt in the face of the fight. Over two million signed a petition supporting Cruz. Thats a heck of an email list, generated almost overnight.
Deal-making and compromise have pushed the country toward fiscal catastrophe. Only Cruz and his supporters stood fast, and Americans noticed....

“Its the law of the land.”
Yup.
This is a Won and Ted Cruz is not on it, I say the headline is bogus!!
rofl
Incidently this is worth about 95 cents right now, I really think the South Koreans should drop the last 3 digits.
Well, as I said earlier, either by providence or chance, Cruz put Obama in a no win situation, and that’s the ticket to success. Keep your opponent choosing between the lesser of two evils.
Evil #1. Obama caves, GOP crows if Obama postponed Obamacare when the GOP was pushing for it.
Evil #2. Obama resists, then suffers the ignoble derision from the roll out problems.
Seems like Obama doesn’t know how to eat an elephant — one bite at a time.
OTher comment is:
Lead, follow, or get out of the way. Cain lead, Boehner followed, most GOP’ers got out of the way. To bad McCain decided to be a nuisance and keep impeding the party.
To bad his only claim to fame is as a prisoner of war and shame on him for squandering that good will with his petulant and vindictive politics that he only reserves for his own party members.
McCain — son of Cain. Traitor, betrayer and a sycophant to the liberals demons.
Reed,
I’m scared for you too. It is a terrible, soul eating environment. But I will also pray for you. It’s your decision. Feel good about it.
Good luck.
reed- your not in Boneheads district are you?
Cuz StuckinOhio is running against him
From the article: “Some in the GOP think they can win a couple of elections over the next few years and unravel the program once the GOP gains the White House. This ignores the shrinking attention span of the body politic. It also ignores the fact that many in the GOP are part of the problem.”
He’s too kind. A large part of the gop wing of the uniparty wants mcconnellcare in place for much the same reason the ‘rat wing does: it expands the scope and power of government and gives access to a massive database of personal information to be used for political purposes.
Ted Cruz is correct to attack the program now. There is no indication that the gop wing of the uniparty would repeal mcconnellcare if it had absolute control over both houses in Congress and the Presidency as well. Remember the balanced budget amendment to the Constitution? It was widely supported by the gop until they came into power. Then it was never heard about again. The same thing would happen with mcconnellcare.
An angle that no one is much talking about and that I think is significant is the fact that Ted Cruz is from Texas. He has to be aware of the growing secession movement there. I’m not a mind reader, but I suspect that is part of what’s motivating him to push these issues now. The continued failures of the central government are simply stoking the fires of those in Texas who favor heading for the exit.
Being silent?? maybe rubbing it in a bit thru some clever TV ads might be in order.
To the RATS/Rinos and their mindless followers let them eat shi’ite!!!!!! Make them suffer!!!
100% correcto! At least half of the GOP base is PO’d.
It may not appear to some we are winning but clearly conservatives have just begun to fight!
Time to show our support for Lee/Cruz and others on our side. They love hearing form US!
I've thought this all along, but it's the first time I've seen it in an opinion piece.
The mere fact that Senator Ted is living in Libs’ empty heads rent-free 24/7 also says he won.
They hate anyone that isn’t cringing, supplicating, compliant, and obedient to them.
RINOs server that purpose, damn them. Cruz isn’t a RINO.
I think you should do it.
Just get out there, and tell the story, your story, OUR story, just explain calmly why WE are so frustrated.
Most likely it won’t work out. But if EVERYONE of us starts doing his/her part, and we are all singing form the same hymn book, eventually, the tide will turn.
And who knows. Perhaps your race will actually catch fire and.....well???
You are 100% right Geron!
Cruz may not have won the battle, but he definitely proved for all to see that he was right. He has also forced the hand of the government in that they can no longer back down from ObamaCare. The system was designed to fail, but no one in the Obama Administration realized it would happen so soon. At this point, I say implement it ASAP, and watch what happens.
No - I’m up north with another Rino, but he’s got a terrible voting record.
I feel Im being called but I also think its a suicide mission. .............................Take the risk, no risk no gain.
Whatever their wimpy reasons wimpiness is simply unacceptable. That is just not their job. They get paid to defend the constitution. If people want to wimp out with them and say oh that’s not really how it’s done well that’s the kind of go along corruption that messes up Wall Street
They are wimps and history is very unkind to wimps
It would be sweet to take down Lance. What a RINO
Thanks for that correction. My bad.
