We've been advised that our medical coverage will be dropped at the end of the year. We've paid for our own coverage for about the last 10 years. Others out there? It'd be interesting to send a list to the a$$holes in DC describing the extent of the problem. thx

I meant to say this on a similar thread today, but let me say it here. I think it is important that you call your elected reps and tell them what has happened to you. And how you feel about it. Maybe call the WH too, be nice to the ladies who answer the comment line, it’s really not their fault.
That is the whole idea.

I got a similar letter. Bad news / good news. The bad was that my policy was cancelled as it did not meet the requirements of ObamaCare.
The good news? There is a new policy for which I qualify and it has a 4000dlr higher deductible(now 6500dlrs total) BUT as a 63 year old man, I now have maternity coverage.
Call your congresscritter.
I pay almost $1,400 a month for wife and myself. I expect an increase of at least $600 a month and a four fold increase in my deductible (judging from friends who have also been terminated).
It's a travesty in my opinion.

I was lucky, get to keep my plan till 8-1-14, after that ??? my plan is illegal as of august 1st 2014. They didn’t say it would be canceled, but i can read between the lines.

If yours or anyone’s plan did not have all the extra benefits mandated by Obamacare (maternity, counseling, etc.), then it’s going to be canceled, period.
Expect to have to show evidence of insurability even if you go with the same provider who carried your previous plan.
I’m staying with Blue Cross, but have to show insurability, even though I’ve had Blue Cross for decades.
