This strange chain of firings from the Military is so bizarre and so unheard of that even Dianne Sawyer of ABC news reached out to cover it when the 9th, yes 9th, Military Commanding Officer was relieved of duty in less than a year. This doesn’t include the long list last year, this is just the nine individuals this year alone.

Your second reason is THE reason.
Your first point is a precursor for the second.
You need commanders and military members whose consciences are already seared in order to fire on civilian “resistors”.
By purging the military, he is creating an officer corps loyal to him. Looking to the military for “help” won’t do much good.
He not only read and studied Marx but also Stalin and the Ceasars.
So he ends up with homosexuals and leftists who will discipline any objectors in the ranks and force them out either by attrition or discharges until he ends up with a military that is finally purged of the patriots who know and read the constitution and those right wing Christians who actually have a moral code, both essential for a FREE people.
This is not going to end well.

Exactly. An officer leaving before a tour is over is one thing. The more important issue is who replaces them. And if the relief has been on substantive grounds, are the deficiencies corrected and reinspected? Matters any half-assed journo could do with a FOIA request, but they won’t because, well, they’re half-assed journos.

From AF perspective very small. I found an article from 2011 talking about approximately 300 Flag level (General) officers in USAF. Of the nine only one was USAF.
