Look, Republican kids are growing up to be more conservative (at least in some cases) than their parents.

That is a good thing.

He lives in Texas and he’s figured out what side of the bread the butter is on.

Maybe. But I'd look no further than the bolded items for an explanation.

Well I’m glad someone from that generation is wising up. From what I’ve seen so far W’s daughters are liberal losers.

The whole family has this habit of being more “conservative” than the previous generation and then magically fall right back in line when running for or elected into national office...

Good. They can argue over it at Thanksgiving, and keep it to themselves in public.

P will be like J and W — he will appear conservative for election purposes.

Acorns don’t fall far from the trees [or bushs].

A Bush acting like a conservative during an election?

No way, I am shocked.

He’d be stupid not to support Cruz while running for statewide office in TEXAS. The Bush’s aren’t conservative. This is just their attempt to be the Republican Kennedy’s and placate to uniformed voters.

Texas doesn’t need another Bush. Go away George P.

“The younger Bush, George P Bush, who is a candidate for Texas land commissioner, had supported efforts by Ted Cruz to defund Obamacare”

I’m a little suspect that this stance comes during the middle of a campaign.

I wonder if George P. Bush, son of Jeb and by Divine Right a future presidential candidate, falls far from the tree on immigration issues or if he’s all in for amnesty like his father and uncle.

One small thing to think about, isn’t this Son of Jeb’s who’s marriage is half Hispanic?

If that’s the one I’m thinking about, and he’s come down for Cruz, this could be the beginnings of something important.

Just saying.

Sure is ironic that just a few months ago RINOs were saying they wanted the hispanic vote. Then a Cuban comes along with passion, intelligence and conservative values. Not what they had in mind, I guess. Pretty ironic, isn’t it?

I figured out that both of W’s daughters were dingbats when I heard them speak at the 2004 GOP convention. The kind of speech they made might’ve been cute if they were 5 years old but not in their 20s.

Sorry, but I do buy it.

George P. Bush is full-throated supporter of Amnesty, and Ted, is a full-throated enemy of Amnesty.

I think previous posters have it right, George has figured out what side of his toast is buttered.

At best, he half-heartedly supports Senator Cruz, and I wouldn’t trust George as far as I could throw him because of his Amnesty support.

“It’s embarrassing to see this play out as it has. And I respect, there’s deep — deeply held views on this. But you’ve got to pay your debts.”

Hey, Jeb: You’re right, but there’s more - when you find yourself in a hole, the FIRST thing you have to do is STOP DIGGING. That’s what the refusal to increase the debt ceiling is all about, NOT irresponsibility.

Argh.
